Another thing I notice when using the trunking free scan mode when I use the scan list the pager attempts to retrieve a signal then freezes and reboots after a bit
With the public v1.3 firmware the G-series can be keyloaded with AES, DES, and ARC4 keys. It is also multi-key capable. Previous firmware versions also had encryption capability, but I believe it was limited to a single AES key.
The keyload software is not really restricted that I am aware of other than not being publicly downloadable on Unication's website. As others have said, contact your dealer.
I am not a beta tester so I cannot comment on the capability in the v1.4 firmware, but a friend of mine who participated in the first beta reports the updated keyload software does not recognize his G5.
Try applying the firmware again. I think, with the pager off, you can plug it into the USB cable and wait for it to show connected.Just uploaded the new firmware in my G5. Have not tweaked any programming because...the G5 boots up finds a site then promptly shuts off. I can cycle the power, it boots up, finds a site then shuts off. Battery shows full charge and I also charged the battery until I got a green light before upgrading firmware. I am thinking it still may be battery issue but the pager was working fine before. Anyone else having a similar issue?
Thanks
Jeff
SORRY WRONG THREADUnder FW1.2 I tried the following BT receivers:
I was only able to get number one to work. Upgraded to FW 1.3 and the G5 will connect to number 1 but no sound and I have toggled

Upgrade dto the beta FW1.4 no change BT still not working.
Contacted the selling dealer who told me to contact Unication. So email, FB message and voice mail to Unication and no response yet.
Known Issue for both, sent to unicationJust did the upgrade to FW 1.4. I was hesitant at first because of the whole “you can’t go back” thing. The upgrade went smoothly, with no issues. Just a couple of observations:
While operating in Trunking Free Scan mode, it would be nice to be able to assign an alias to the line at the bottom of the screen where you now see “RFSS/Site:0x0x1/0x0x1”. Multiple systems often will have this same information, and it would be nice to differentiate them quickly.
I notice that the background colors that I have assigned on the “Group ID Setting” page don’t get used in Trunking Free Scan mode.
Otherwise, everything is working very well, so far.
These are the reasons I will continue to hold off upgrading to 1.4 . Currently, The 1.3 works great and ability to scan multiple sites is not a major factor for me until all the 1.4 issues have been addressed.

So has anyone else tried reverting back to the public versions? I've gone back and forth several times with no issues noted.
Are you saying you went back from a 1.4 freescan beta version to 1.2 or 1.3 or even earlier?
If so, I thought they said that can't be done! Either way, no, I've not tried this but only because of their warning about not being able to downgrade and beta 1.4 users must wait until regular 1.5 before they can get rid of the freescan version.
Cool, good to know.1.4 (the Beta) back to 1.3.
Cool, good to know.
I'm not having any issues with either 1.4 beta but at least I now know I can go back if needed.
Thanks for trying this!
