Hi all,

I'm trying to listen to Lowell PD (RR DB) with SDRTrunk. However, I only hear one garbled transmission once in a blue moon, so I believe that I'm doing something wrong. I am new to this, so I appreciate any help!

I have a channel added in the playlist editor with the freq 482.4125 with the P25 Phase 1 protocol C4FM modulation and I have one alias added with the only identifier being a APCO-25 talkgroup range from 0 to 65535.

In the Now Playing tab, the status of this channel flips between Active and Idle, picking up the very occasional group call.

Could someone help point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the help!

Lowell PD is conventional P25, not a trunking system. That is probably your issue.

Okay, that makes sense & I thought as such. From what I'm seeing, I think SDRTrunk is able to decode conventional P25. Are there any guides for doing this?

Sounds like a tuner settings like gain or ppm. Post a few screenshots. Spectrum and tuner settings. Since it’s not a trunked system, it will say idle when there are no calls and active when there is a call.

If you are just doing one p25 conventional channel, DSDPlus may be a better option for you.

SDRTrunk does p25 conventional just fine.

Interestingly enough, changing modulation from C4FM to LSM seems to have fixed the issue.
