• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

On the E2 screen it should look like this...

6.JPG

You want to click on add (see arrow below) and select add system from Resources (underlined below) add the five sites you see.

5.JPG

You will see a box with the 6 sites you have in C1 click the box to the left of each one and add them in E2

7.JPG

After you go to Tab E4 and add your protocols, I suggest you add all available protocols, by clicking add and clicking on the name. You DO NOT need to change anything below the list, just add the protocols and rename them to match protocol type.

8.JPG9.JPG

Now you are almost there and ready to add the systems. Let me know when you are done and share screen shots, TIP: All screen shots should match mine, if not figure out what is wrong/where there was an issue.

OK I must have made a mistake...my E2 screen looks good but when I add system from resource I get whats in picture. I am still missing a step or forgetting something. When I click on the BOTTOM one it just duplicates the top one. I keep making the same mistake but dont know I am making it. I might have to start over cause I cant find the problem.

Let's go back and look at C1 and make sure they are there. It might have been lost if you didn't click save at the bottom.

OK I already have the METRO site done, now I will import the NORTH site.....
This is what it should look like, AFTER YOU UNZIP IT what you need to do is go to E7 (at the bottom) and select the TG you want to add for each knob position. You need to unzip the file and go to Tab F1 and import the file AFTER YOU UNZIP IT.
