I wonder if LifeLine gets an extra bird this weekend so they can dedicate one to the track, hence "rotor 500".

No it's just an one weekend "honorary" like any aircraft with a POTUS on is AF1.

I just heard Lifeline N193LL land at the track using the callsign Rotor 500. I haven't caught that in years past.

Also, it looks like the Lifeline air units are getting new radios, too. I've picked up quite a few new RIDs these past few months.
Yes IUH LL has new APX toys.

That sucks that LifeLine takes one of their bases out-of-service so they can dedicate a helicopter to the 500. Instead of losing that coverage area during a holiday weekend it would probably be pretty easy to put one of their backup helicopters at that base.

The one at the dth is literally only a 5 ten minute hop from the track. Gainbridge, formerly Conseco pad at Indianapolis Downtown Heliport. Yes it's named for the field house that's spitting distance from it.

It appears that Parkview Hospital's "Samaritan" medical helicopters, in northern Indiana, are using TG 10349, which is currently listed as a Hendricks Co LE TG.

Also, SAM and Lutheran Air apparently have (2) 800mhz radios, one being a 9399xxx RID, and another with an Allen Co 213xxx RID.

Also, the Samaritan Disp console RID changed to a 9210XXX, Whitley county RID. I wonder if they moved their SAM Disp center to Whitley Co.

--

I also heard MedFlight 8 (out of area bird) talking to MedFlight Disp asking them "Do you still use the FlightWatch (TG) for everything, or you use one of those "Air Med" frequencies (TGs)."

This leads me to believe that maybe all of these individual "company" helicopter TGs (10058, 10081, 10117, 10349, etc..) are actually all "Air Med" TGs, similar to the old UHF "Med" channels.

IU LifeLine calls TG 10058 "Air Med 1". Maybe StatFlight's TG 10081 is actually "Air Med 2" ?; Maybe Lutheran Air's TG 10117 is actually "Air Med 3" ?

I've seen Lutheran Air on some of those other former Dekalb Co 1011X TGs as well.

There -ARE- a group of "Air Med" channels. I just heard the Parkview Samaritan dispatcher refer to TG10349 (the TG that Samaritan uses everyday) as "Air Med 3".

Yesterday I was noticing DOC units on the TRIP talk-group where not displaying radio IDs.... A blank would come up for the ID, but clearly where talking with State control on transportation details.... Is this what would be seen if they where using FirstNet system radios through one of AT&T sites?

FirstNet is fully integrated into all sites. The cores are linked for a couple of years now. Yes, if they are using FirstNet anywhere nationwide they can access SAFE-T and the RID may or may not pop up. I have seen a tech in Florida on a trip use it to talk on MESA and his RID did pop up.

Also, if they are on a phone, no RID will show up.

Submit it as a correction, to have the map location changed. The admin may not read this forum.
So, just to clarify, the Hoosier Safe-T that admins cover, never come to the Indiana State forum site? Is this what I'm to believe, because I have seen several of them on these very forums in the not to distant past! Many, Many, times!!!
