Make sure you have ALL of the Control Channels programed into your scanner.
Im also not getting anything from the Laporte co similcast control channel. I can hear laporte co. Trafic but its over porter co similcast. I have heard officers complaining about poor radio transmissions. Wondering if control channel was changed or if they are just having issues

Here is how you can attempt to find the Control channel, program all of the frequencies on that site into your scanner as analog frequencies. The frequency that you receive that sounds like constant computer noise is the current P25 Control Channel. Add that frequency into your P25 programming for the LaPorte site. If none of the frequencies on the site have noise, then the site may be down. Sites very rarely go completely offline.

I am aware of how to find the control channel. The control channel before yesterday was 858.7125. The system seems to be back up today with a new control channel 770.83125. Im not going to do a submission on this info until I know its not temporary.

If you knew how to do that you would've found that CC before today, since that freq -is- an assigned freq for the LaPorte County site.

Read my post above before your smart comments. I do in fact know how to find the control channel. The "new" control channel was programmed already in the full list of assigned freqs for laporte simulcast. But when I posted the info yesterday there was not a signal on any of the listed freqs.

So for whatever reason they changed 770.83125 to be the control channel. Hope this helps the original poster.

Good Morning. I have a quick question. Noticed that the 2 prisons in LaPorte county have Safe-T sites listed. Wondering if they only handle in house stuff or would they handle general stuff like LaPorte fire dept, police etc. It seems like when driving thru I miss some comms so I would need to add the CCs from the prisons? Thanks

They only handle the prison TGs, and state-level DOC TGs. They don't handle any local TGs.

Bringing this back up for discussion again, I have noticed that units in D53 have zone 1 radio IDs and some zone 2 IDs with the new 95 Prefixes....Why wouldn't they all be zone 1 ids? Any thoughts anyone??? Only a few units left with the 93 prefixes...
Ok, starting to see a pattern here....need others to verify if they are see this in their ISP Districts also.... As this might be ISP Zone 5 radios only since they boarder both North (1) system talkgroups and South (2) system talkgroups, but this is what I'm seeing via Unitrunker..... ISP Mobiles have the South (2) radio ID and their Portables have the North (1) radio ID.... Check that out next time your running unitrunker!

Glad you guys are seeing the unit IDs, now what your looking for is 95(1)XXXX to see if that is his portable or 95(2)XXXX to see if it is his mobile unit.... Like I said it might be ISP ZONE 5 radios only... As you can see in this PIC, I have the 53 units in blue 53-46 was out on a Pedestrian on I-70 and you can see what I have as his portable vs his car radio

Seeing a lot of 95(1)XXXX & 95(2)XXXX on Dist 52 (618 RIDs in the Proscan UID file as of today).

I'll pay more attention to the traffic to see if the mobile/portable pattern is the same here too.
