I am hearing patient reports being given today on HOSP N OPS3 to Marion Health East on the Marion Tower. That is the new hospital that opened today at State Road 22 and I69.

I heard traffic on 10686 today also. They use 10687 for patient reports to the original OG hospital. That's odd because Grant county put in their own P25 Phase 2 simulcast system, but EMS still uses SAFE-T for patient reports.

Yesterday on the Greenwood site I heard this talk group and they were talking about a deployment and providing a cache of phones. Being that the radio shop is in Greenwood it makes sense that this would be an IPSC TG.

Did this have anything to do with the Indiana National Guard deployment to N.C? That happen yesterday and they left from Indy...

IPSC has a whole block in the 106xx range. And they supply all the comms needs for everyone from Indiana Task Force 1, to Nat Guard etc.

Deleware County is using Locution on SAFE-T TG 10173 "Muncie Street Department Supervisor". The first time I heard it was earlier this week, but I didn't know which TG it was on. It looks like they may have repurposed this TG to public safety. More time is needed to confirm that.

From a Delaware County E-911 Facebook post today.

Delaware County Deploys New 911 Dispatch Technology: Locution System to Improve Emergency Response

Delaware County, Muncie, Indiana – The Delaware County 911 Communications Center is proud to announce the deployment of Locution, a state-of-the-art dispatch technology designed to automate the emergency dispatch process. This cutting-edge system provides the most advanced dispatch audio on the market, streamlining communication and allowing first responders to receive critical information faster and more accurately.

The Locution system automates emergency alerts, immediately providing essential details such as the location and nature of the emergency call upon dispatch. This eliminates delays in communication, ensuring first responders are notified as quickly as possible, and improving response times in critical situations.

In addition to enhancing speed, the Locution system reduces the workload on dispatchers by handling repetitive dispatching tasks, especially during periods of high call volume. With automated alerts, dispatchers can maintain real-time communication with callers while simultaneously sending out vital alerts, ensuring that no time is lost in relaying crucial details to emergency teams.

“The implementation of the Locution system represents a major advancement in our emergency response capabilities,” said Fred Cummings, Director of Delaware County 911 Communications Center . “By streamlining our dispatch process and reducing strain on our dispatchers, we’re able to deliver faster, more efficient emergency services to our community.”

Delaware County’s investment in this innovative system highlights its commitment to improving public safety and ensuring that first responders have the tools they need to serve the community effectively.

For more information about the Locution system or Delaware County 911 Communications Center , please contact 911 Director Fred Cummings.

Trying to relearn Uniden programming on ProScan. How best do I program a talkgroup that can be heard SW, like DNR and the SW MA's. I am programming with different favorite lists for each ISP District. Unless someone has a better suggestion for programming it for Statewide use in various areas.

It's best to put in a separate statewide group. DNR you can split north/south, unless you are in central regions then you will be able to hear both dispatches. You also can separate ISP special ops that way too, such as the ERT/SWATs, Drug Eradication Teams etc.

Sounds like they have taken the Vigo (083) (857.7625) repeaters off the air for the tower move.... Area listeners should use the Terre Haute, Brazil, or Clinton repeaters for COMMS in the Terre Haute area

I have not heard... They might just be taking it down, tear the old jail down, then put it back up in the same spot... I have been trying to find out all morning lol. It is free standing without guild wires, so that might be the simplest thing to do
