Not sure if this info will be of use but from what I have been able to tell, of the triad-area tower sites that I can receive:

*Traffic on Alpha 2 only seems to be coming only through the Fishers peak site.
*I have noted Statewide fire on Sauratown Mountain, Fox Mountain, and Mocksville.
*Statewide Calling appears to be going through most but not necessarily all of the nearby sites -- I have noted traffic on Fox Mountain, Mocksville, Yadkinville, and Clemmons but I may have missed some.

I am not sure how they decide what traffic goes through which sites though.

Wake County helping eastern counties effected by flooding. Just heard comms from Neuse River on Wake Trunked System being set up on Wake Event 9 (Wake Trunked System talkgroup 34352). Not much traffic yet, said they had to move from break room to training room (which has windows) so the radios would work.

Earlier Viper ComL talked about Wake Co helping New Hanover County with a patch of their comms if they needed to evacuate.

Numerous radio checks from RCC East on the Statewide Calling Channel (TG 52255) this afternoon... it is being used as a backup in the event that primary means of comms fail.

Received some traffic on Statewide Events Delta 4 (TG 51970) between Carteret EOC and another unit (I didn't catch who it was).

And receiving traffic between "Hoke 1" and "Eastern Regional Support" on NC Public Health Statewide (TG 52051).

Some key-ups also on East Roam 1 (TG 52369)

A backup means but still utilizing the trunked system? That sounds like carrying around a flat spare tire...

Yeah, RCC ended all of the radio checks with "Please use this VIPER Channel in case your primary means fails and you need to get in contact with RCC East."
