That's very good. We do have around 700 talkgroups assigned, and half of those are regularly active.

I heard there were 700 talkgroups on the master list....I have only logged 200 or so, and ID'd 180 I believe....and some of those IDs are tenuous at best. I could post what I have for Burbank....but it isnt too different than the list here on RR.

I know you probably can't devulge the list. Congratulations by the way on a pretty smooth switch over with Verdugo Fire.

Karl's 200 is a good start. I suppose we need someone in range of each Cell Site using ID Search to put together the complete list. I know I'm confident that I've got all the ones used in the Burbank, Glendale area.

I had the old Red 5 6 7 8 on scan on my HT1000, and heard the SMD tones come over, then part of the 7PM station alerting test came over it, the same one going over the ICIS system.

Looking for a bit of help on a couple things that are not making sense to me. I'm still working at getting the best ICIS setup for my LA area travels.

I saw the maps earlier in this thread, but where are Oat Mountain and Hauser Peak site maps ? I don't know where they are located. I see a map called East cell but see no such site in the RR ICIS database.

I see a Hauser Peak Site, but in the table of base frequencies and offsets there are none for Hauser. I see a base freq and offset for Pomono 1 & 2 but see no site named Pomono 2.

In another thread I saw mention of a Palmdale site, but see no such site in the RR database ICIS page. In a link I followed to FCC license info I saw a City of Glendale with a Palmdale street address. Is that the "Palmdale" site, Glendale ?

RR DB page http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=2856

Thanks

Steve

I have only heard that talkgroup once during a drill day....and they were never able to raise the other hospital they were trying to contact. Supposedly there is going to be another reprogramming of the ICIS radios this spring, so perhaps you will see more use then.

I believe those maps are from the ICIS radio site and are a couple years old. You would want to take a look at the 2007 Coverage Map (full size) It shows all the repeater sites in Capital Letters.

http://www.icisradio.org/maps.asp

Based on my experience, it seems to be that Hauser Peak coverage is directed toward the Antelope Valley.....And Oat Mtn is directed toward the SCV and Ventura County (and away from the San Fernando Valley)

For Hauser Peak's frequencies, use the Burbank base settings.

Thanks for the responses.

Seems that the Bev Hills site does not work. I DL's the site CC and two alts as well as all
152 TG's and didn't get a single hit even while sitting in the midst of town staring up at the Beverly Blvd street sign. I did get a solid T appearing whenever scanner scanned that CC indicating it saw trunking info but never audio with the exception of 10 hits on a wildcard talkgroup. Each time it sounded like the same pair of voices, plumbers or painters I think.

Last night I programmed the "old" conv frequencies for Police and Fire and got several calls
on the police dispatch while still miles outside Bev Hills.

BTW I also never heard any Bev Hills TG's coming from the Burbank, Glendale, or Culver City sites.

Just listened to some communication on Beverly Hills site

TG 36480

Definately Parks and Recreation for City of Bev Hills

Listened to call from "La Cienega Base" for Park Ranger 350 to assist elderly man at baseball field till paramedic arrives. Listened to La Cienega base call ranger 351 for 1020. He was "In the mansion" at Greystone. La Cienega park and Greystone Park are both City of Bev Hills.

Just about 15 mins ago heard a 2 tone go out over Red 1, then a full assignment for a TC rescue. Sounds like 2 tones are coming back?
