This is a NEXEDGE48 trunked system. The radio aliases are sent over the air, as programmed by the system administrator. But why do some of them have ellipses in place of a complete name? Is it because DSD+ is not properly decoding them? I can't imagine why the system administrator would program such seemingly incomplete aliases into a radio.

It’s not getting a good decode or enough time to decode it. It should grab the rest of it the next time it transmits. You can also shut down the program, then go into the radios file and delete the incomplete aliases so it forces a new grab next time.

If an NXDN RID alias was generated (decoded) by DSD+, it will be saved with an asterisk in the DSDPlus.radios file. Removing the * will tell DSD+ not to replace the alias again in the future. I believe this means that if DSD+ sees that same RID on the same system again, it will continue to replace the alias with the latest one it decodes. So if you review DSDPlus.radios, remove the * from the entries that look to have a complete alias.

Thanks, I will try that.
