It'll be interesting to hear what radio signatures they'll be given. They're reporting to their Districts (Posts) tomorrow, and the restructuring is scheduled for Jan.1st.
I wonder if they'll continue with the first number representing the troop #, and the last few as the unit ID. This system could still work, but each troop would have quite a few numbers attached.

Heard a couple of the probationary District-Chicago troopers come up using the C-300 series radio signatures which is the current pattern. RID's were in the 10073xx/11073xx series.

When will the changes to all ISP Districts to Troops post in the database?

Since it's based on user submissions, probably when we can confirm the information. The best thing to do is self-program, and not to depend on uploads from the database, based on the information from this thread. I've already created new ISP Troop Favorite lists, and uploaded to my scanners. If I'm off, a simple Edit will resolve the issue.

Same towers as 17 & 7 were on before from what I can tell. They're still using the old channel layout, just new identifiers.

I can hear D-17 as far south as the Congerville tower in D-8 and also on the Will/Grundy SMLCST system when I'm up that way. I don't go north much, but I assume that they hit off the towers in Lee and DeKalb counties as well. I was just wondering how far I would hear Troop 2 when I'm traveling around.

Also, if you are listening to the east, I was wondering if you were hearing D-7 talkgroups off of the Will/Grundy sites.... If that is the case, I will need to reprogram... BCD996P2 here.

Kane, DeKalb, Creston, Ashton, Sterling, Dixon are the fartest north it typically goes for 17. I've only heard 7 on Sterling.

Thank you. From previously posted information, the primary channel would be D-7A for Troop 2. If that information is correct, I may need to reprogram, as I program my radios by district. I have each district programed with the surrounding districts towers. I currently do not have D-7 talkgroups included on the Will/Grundy sites because they weren't neighbors. Also, I do not have D-9 talkgroups on my D-5 systems. You get my gist? The same goes for D-8, D-6, D-9, D-21..... The list goes on.....

Troop 3 is still using the District-Chicago radio zone at this time. Troopers are utilizing the new call sign structure as it was previously reported. I've been updating radio ID's. Radio ID structure has been by seniority with the "old" District 2/5 Command staff and Troopers assigned to Patrol being slotted in. Will update when I can verify additional details.

3-xx: Troop 3 Command Staff
3-1xx/3-2xx: Patrol
3-3xx: Investigations? (Need to see/hear more to confirm)
3-4xx: Probationary Troopers

Since they are going to be using mostly existing assignments just be sure your Favorites Lists or programming contains all the ISP dispatch and Car channels for the old Districts that are now part of your local Troop(s). There are bound to be changes and updates in the weeks that come.

One thing you might want to do also is set your scanner to System Search on StarCom21 and lock out any of the local traffic that you are not interested in or have already identified. This will help you find any new talkgroup assignments you may not have for your area.

Troop 8 (District 11/18) mostly using new identifiers today: (So far)

Former D18A 17009 appears to be 8-1xx units (in former District 18 area) (8-102, 103, 105)
Former D11A 17000 appears to be 8-xx units (in former District 11 area) (8-26, 94)
Former D11B 17001 so far has been ICP 4Fxx units (4-F-30)
Former D11C 17002 so far has been DCI 7-IDA units (7-I-46)

11-K9-2 was still using his identifier today

District 11 ISPERN is still being said as "District 11 ISPERN" and saying "State Police Collinsville"

As of 12pm Troops 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 are now using the Troop identifiers. Unable to confirm if Districts 14, 20, & 22 have switched, not covered on calls.

Troop 4 Districts are using the new radio signatures. (Old) 14-26, just checked in up here in Troop 3 as 4-28 for a Detail.
