I have a Motorola FRS radio that has 3 different "scramble" or inversion codes in it.

I'd like to see that.I know. That's my problem. I am using a 396XT, it shows nothing. UniTrunker shows 0

Thanks cinsu! Just in case, you may want to turn on decode logging (checkbox on the receiver window). I'd like know what's causing this. If there's a problem, I usually ask for a decode log.Not by my scanner right now I shall attempt to catch it on video and a screenshot from UniTrunker tomorrow.

Section 95.183(a)(4) of the FCC Rules prohibits GMRS operators from transmitting coded messages and messages with hidden meanings.

I just found the manual to it (Motorola T6220) online. They call it an "Eavesdrop Reducer" in the manual. It definitely inverts voice.
Anyone familiar with LifeStar, specifically the east (Lawrence) repeater?
I have not heard any traffic on the analog freq in a couple weeks. Been scanning on KSICS for a wildcard but, so far nothing found. The database here shows a TG for Topeka, but nothing for Lawrence.

I do not have the best luck scanning anything KSICS outside of KHP Troop A. I can barely hear Troop B and KTA. Completely unreliable as far as Leavenworth County KSICS.
Current plan is to upgrade my antenna when Douglas County decides what they are planning on doing as far as KSICS or the rumor of joining the Johnson County 700 system.
I've been getting a significant number of hits on Talkgroups 2459 and 2460 in the past week. Of course they always seem to come in when I'm on the phone at work, so I can never listen to the traffic and my scanner recording at home is disabled right now as I lost my big network drive, (audio files from the scanner can get BIG fast...)
I have heard what sounded like a city or county maintenance type traffic a couple of times though on 2460. Has anybody else latched on to these groups and been able to identify them?.....
Which tower are you receiving from?
Try TG 1661 for LifeStar. I believe they might have abandoned their UHF stuff. LifeFlight Eagle also has a new talkgroup on KSICS for when they do flights to Topeka and Wichita. Not sure which talkgroup they're using, though.

Well, I have gotten to listen to some of it now in the afternoons. TG2459 and 2460 are a school bus service. I haven't figured out which district/county yet though. At first I thought it might be Butler County, but now I'm not so sure. I'll keep listening. If any one else around SC KS hears it, listen for street and road names. We can plug them into Google Maps or a gazzetter and figure it out from that.
Also, today I am hearing a lot of "Testing 1234 4321" on several other new talkgroups, 672, 673, and 674. These appear to be down in the "medical" group with Eagle-Med and several county EMS groups. No identifiers given yet except on TG 673 where someone said, "Yeah, this will be OPS 3."
