So I'm in NE Lancaster County around Ephrata and also went down to the area near the outlets. It seems like no matter where i listen to the LCWC P25 system there seems to me to be some kind of interference on both the NE and South sites on multiple devices. I'm running a SDS100, a Unication G3 and a Harris radio in receive only mode. On all devices there are consistent times of signal dropouts leading to garbled transmissions and momentary loss of CC Data on both NE and S sites. Is it just me? Perhaps a problem with how the similcast sites are timed? Has anyone else experienced this?

FYI,
Don't know how long it's been this way, but the 1.6 Atglen Site is gone. Does not appear as a neighbor to the South Site any longer, and I did not see a signal from it upon taking a drive last evening. Perhaps it's been incorporated into the South Site Simulcast. IDK. Further investigating will be needed..
I was about to inquire about Atglen then came across your note from last year. Not coming up as a Northeast neighbor neither. Did Atglen carry the entire county or was it localized to South comms only?

Atglen is no longer a stand alone site but now part of the South cluster

Ah OK thanks Keith. Unfortunately I can just about make out the waveform but nada on the decode. Ephrata looks to be about 200 feet higher in elevation vs the former Atglen site so that height works to my advantage

The Atglen Site never carried much outside Christiana & Gap, If the same tower now utilizes South Site frequencies, I've never seen FCC data to back it up. It was just off air and the existing South & NE Sites apparently provide sufficient coverage. But I'm not privy to inside info. In addition, it's been quite a while since I've observed Christiana Boro PD radios affiliated on the Chesco P25. Maybe they no longer provide coverage to Atglen. thus no need for the site any longer. IDK

You would be getting the NE clusters ( or cells, zone…. Depending on what you want to call it) if you are at home. Would either be Ephrata, or possibly Welsh mountain. The best way to test would be to listen to the Ephrata UHF ham repeaters. They are slightly lower than the county site on the same ridge and compare signals.
