Was hearing West LA units on TAC-3 repeat with the dispatcher this morning "testing the link".

Hearing TAN-2 in full operation in Santa Clarita and sounding great. FINALLY after all these decades they are in REPEAT MODE! :D oH happy days. I may start listening to CHP for a while, could be fun the next time something big happens...that is....until I get tired of hearing all the licence plates.

Thanks for the updates guys!

0pfor2, Do you have the input(car) freq for the list you posted? I still like to hear the cars when I can.

I had it on for a while the other night and heard the first crossover incident since the switch, going from Tan to Brown to Black. It definitely makes it a lot better to listen. It will also make it a lot better for rural mountain situations. But hopefully they will leave them on. I have heard the mobile turned off briefly a couple times.

Well, remember when ICIS was testing, they drove around the area constantly playing a Books on Tape (CD) and recording the locations where performance was poor.

There was an RP call in, turning to pursuit last night from Brown to Orange, and it really makes things a lot nicer being able to hear both sides now.

I'm hearing TEAL radio traffic on TAC 4 39.920...
TEAL has been silent and I haven't heard any testing yet on TEAL 2 45.520
I did hear some say "LA test" on TAC 4
Hopefully this means TEAL is next or will soon be moved to TEAL 2

Sounds like the new channels have receivers well outside their designated use areas. I heard one comm tech on Teal 2 check in from the 91 freeway. Another tech headed west along the 118 and was still clear as a bell as he cruised the 23 through Moorpark and Thousand Oaks. Tomorrow morning they plan on doing a Teal 2 tour along the coast.
