You guys are awesome! I have been trying to get my Unication G5 to work on the new P25 II for a week, and decided to look for a forum on the subject here on RR this afternoon, and bingo! Something as simple as the incorrect site number seems to have been my issue. Thank you, and keep posting the talk groups you find. I still need Cape Coral FD tacs 1,2,3,& 4 and Lee County Fire tacs 5,6,7,& 8. Thanks again!!

Oh, is anyone using a Unication G4/5 or just scanners?

I use a G5. Love it - but I have all the phase 2 scanners to. I get really confused programming that G5 - I work with fire and PD in Cape Coral, I will see if I can get new info. They have been programming our police radios for 3 weeks now and still can’t get the scan operation to work - I have 3 hand helds in cruiser right now. It takes time.

Setup a Favorite 0, Have all site frequencies in and searching TGID's. Not getting any audio on those found in the 20000 range even when it stops on them. Wondering if these are the encrypted channels? Can anyone confirm as I can log the ID if we need them

When a signal is encrypted, you will still hear it.
it will sound all garbled.
If you have a radio that's using "encoding" you won't hear anything
until a matching signal comes thru the repeater from someone
pressing their mic.
so it's ENCRYPTED you hear but not understand.
hope that answers the question.

Ya trying to separate the sites now and set them up separately.

Folks, I work and live in Lee County and have some insider info. "Lee Control", LCSO and all agencies have moved to the P-25II as we are all discovering. I was told by a reliable commanding Officer, all Law Enforcement will be encrypted. Some Fire/EMS channels will be encrypted as well but only for a Law Enforcement matter. the new system has 39 banks with 16 channels in each. some will be for mutual aid local and State wide and communications for counties near by. Charlotte, Collier, Sarasota. VHF was also added and will cover State channels and some VHF Marine channels for water rescue with USCG. This system switch over should....should... be completed by the end of the day 4/14. All State agencies are on the Harris system and some counties have moved that direction. as for the Lee County area, all government departments that are on 800mhz have switched, this would include school board, utilities, county DOT..... I should know more next week along with some programming guidance. Scan on!

I have a G5 and programming is easy , you just have to use the PPS software often to stay used to using it because it is easy to forget.

I’ve been running my TG search most of the day. Found one possible SO 20056. Interesting one side was in clear other garbled encrypted. Still getting busses and garbage trucks too. Interesting that it appears the dispatch is encrypted and the clear is the car.

I understand from other new trunked systems that's pretty common during a big transition like this. It's likely that once they get all the kinks worked out they will go full time encrypted. At least we can gather some useful talkgroup information from the clear transmissions before that happens.

I am up in Sarasota and last night was pretty cloudy so I programed my G5 to the Lee County P25-2 Fire TG's that are on RR Site 2. I did get LCFR Disp. 1 and 2 and LCFR Tac 1. I would say the Cape Fire Dispatch and Tones came in the best by far. I will try again on the next cloudy night. I think the G4 & G5 are the greatest Radios.

well this is new, not very profound though.
programmed my sds to flash the panel light blue when its on cops and red when
its fire or ems. so i'm in bed last night, scanner is on across the room, light starts
flashing blue, its never done that before. doesn't even flash red for fire.
I didn't make it to the scanner fast enough to see what it was. oh well.
not a big deal but interesting.

I did get BCD536 back online
I live in lee off of Country club Blvd. I added what was on the RR database and I get nothing on CC fire. I hear the trucks moving sirens and all and nothing on the radio. I am getting very frustrated. Bought new radio and still only get the Lee County Medical????

Hi, I live in the Cape as well - CCFD is live again - I just programmed my BCD536 to receive the Phase II dispatch - I provide a feed on Broadcastify - These are using two site ID's and the cape fire dispatch TGID is 21250 - It looks like the whole lee county are bouncing off of the cape towers.
