I am not sure what you are implying here.... but (at least in Florida) - things are not done "our own way" - listings are only changed (other than typos and service tags) based on user input. It seems that each DB admin does things his own way. Sometimes there's one huge listing of talkgroups, others are broken down into puzzling minutiae which makes it difficult to find what you're looking for.
There's no substitute for local knowledge so it's best if the DB admin (or the data submitter) knows how the system is used with an emphasis on COMMON SENSE. Nobody is going to look under Port Authority for airport info. Who cares if that's what their official name is?
List it the way real, live, normal people would ask for it. That is, after all, the whole purpose of the database.

What are you scanning with? The tg is listed as full time enc.I have had it in my scan list for a few weeks now and I am not picking up traffic.
APX7000 now. I am not even picking up encrypted traffic on itWhat are you scanning with? The tg is listed as full time enc.
How did we discover the "LC Courts1" talkgroup? The TGID does not match the rest of the county's formatting, looks almost randomized. I have had it in my scan list for a few weeks now and I am not picking up traffic.
(PS: From my knowledge, all county court operations are on COURT OP (20085) and COURT TAC (20087))

Considering the TG is listed as encrypted, I assumed I would at least pick up encrypted traffic.. but nope, nothing. Why would you expect to?
It is not a county radio, so no. Usually on the other encrypted talkgroups (like police dispatch channels), I will pick up traffic but nothing heard - due to the fact that all transmissions are "secured" AKA encrypted. With the LC Courts1 talkgroup, I am not picking up any traffic whatsoever.Does the radio have the proper encryption key?
Just FYI. When encryption is utilized on a P25 trunking system there are 3 encryption key parameters that are programmed into the radios that all have to match between the radios, in order to receive the decrypted transmission. Those parameters are loaded into the radios from the key loader or the KMF, if OTAR is configured. Having just the 'correct key' will not allow the radios to receive the decrypted transmission.Does the radio have the proper encryption key?

Yes, thank you. I have it programmed to mute the encrypted transmissions (garbled audio is annoying).I believe Bote originally misunderstood what he was referring too and no it doesn't matter. The radio he has would either let the garbled audio through or it would mute the encrypted transmission, depending on how the radio is configured, if the talkgroup was received and encrypted.
Yup. I thought so too. I think Collier has a site in Bonita too, or maybe its just skimming the county line.It is possible they are setting up ISSI. I notice a few systems up in NE FL are doing that.
