Does anyone know what is the model / exact equipment list that LASD dispatchers use?
I think SRC still uses the Electrocom Automation consoles. It's all extremely custom-built stuff for them that interfaces with their radio ACD system ("The Algorithm" as some of them call it). It's what generates the beep beep beep and lets them bring up and drop the patch along with a plethora of other weird LASD-specific features.

Or did they manage to integrate that stuff with another console provider?

It's likely that the fact it can't easily be replaced is why LASD dispatch is not on RICS. That, and the need for some degree of mutual aid with allied agencies.

I don't know this for sure, but my guess is they likely have two consoles at SRC - the Electrocom for dispatch, and CommandCentral or whatever the hell its called for RICS (maybe it's old enough to be MCC7500).

No clue what the stations have. Maybe that's where the ZETRON stuff comes in.

The above is my guess and shouldn't be taken as right or wrong, or gospel. It's all a guess based on OLD information. I haven't worked in the LA market in 12 years. And thank God for that.

All the consoles are zetron at scc and the stations.
Also heard a new program is being pushed out to all radios last week and this week. The update includes switching all the dispatch channels to their encrypted talk groups on larics. Not exactly sure when the switch over will be just yet.
