I think I've seen something similar a few years ago, but the personnel were dressed in civilian clothes - they looked like LEOs of some flavor.

As expected, the new Davidsonville subsite has vastly improved RSSI south of Edgewater to the Lothian area along Route 2.

7578 - State Park - Users use 3xx identifiers so it should be a PG State Park - Possibly Merkle NRMA, Rosaryville State Park, Cedarville State Forest (PG/Charles Border)

8375 - State Park - 4xx Identifiers. Park in Charles/Calvert/Saint Mary's

7975 has become pretty activity with "security" related activity. 4 RID's which I previously logged them as MDOT Event Radios (used during special events/festivals). I am wondering if this is related to the Incident Command at MPA for the Key Bridge Collapse. 24 hour a day operation for the talkgroup.

Definitely Merkle NRMA. Mentions of Observation Tower, "Driving Tour," and Lookout Creek. All at Merkle.

Noticed that the LE Ranger pickups at Assateague State Park ranger station had VHF whips and no FIRST antennas. FIRST and Worcester County are receivable in Chincoteague.

That might have been National Park Service Protection Ranger (LEOs). State Parks do not have law enforcement rangers. NRP provides law enforcement at state parks.

No, they had state park symbology on the doors. The reason why I thought they may have been LE Rangers is because the also had emegency lights on the dash, and Federal siren control boxes mounted next to the radio control heads.

Another though is they may support lifeguard / rescue operations on the beach, although I didn't see any surf gear in them.
