Wayyyyy back when I took a course in Soviet histroy in college the professor said they have a saying that is loosely translated to:

If you encounter mush push on. If you encounter steel back off.

They are looking to see if NATO is mush. Then again, it's another press distraction so...

Does anyone have a list of the frequencies used in the 2022 Andrews airshow?
This was posted on another list this morning. Not exactly what you asked for. Said it was from his scanner program list.

This is what I have my scanner programmed with.

Wish we could take our scanners to the show. It is on the prohibited list.

Have some weak A/A 377.575.. Maybe down Pax River way.
Has been logged a DC ANG A/A before by Ron back in April.

0830- Flt of DC ANG F-16s, using travelling callsign Capitol 91, w/ZOB Indian Head (363.075) at FL260. A2A is 377.575. Cleared direct to DJ?

Lots of DC ANG F-16's going up.. Are they temp relocating some of them for the airshow?
Maybe going West as lose them quickly after departures. Pittsburgh tanker seems to have picked up someone westbound.

FDC NOTAM 5/1019 has been issued for the New York, NY area on September 10-11, 2025. This NOTAM replaces 5/9010 due to a change in times (start is now 2 hours and 45 minutes later).

FDC NOTAM 5/0993 & 5/0983 have been issued for the Westchester, NY area on September 13, 2025. The NOTAMs are identical, but both were issued due to the TFR spanning the boundary of two enroute centers – ZNY and ZBW.

scanners have been on the prohibited list for the Andrews joint air show for quite some time. I remember going to the airshow around ten years ago and getting hassled by the military police at the screening checkpoint at FEDEX field.

Not to stray too far - but as a Polish-American, I can strongly say that the only one "testing" anyone is Russia (as they have for hundreds of years).

The more things change, the more things stay the same.
