Article out today says this is the last Honor flight after 20 years?

Operation Honor Culminates in Historic Final Flight
Mark,

Allegiant Airways runs Honor Flights a couple of times per year. They usually fly from Florida to BWI in the morning. The vets and their caretakers then tour the DC area for the day then return to BWI later in the evening for the flight back home. We have friends in FL involved with these flights.

They leave Orlando very early in the AM and return to Orlando late in the evening. Quite a spectacle. Large crowds of well-wishers waving flags and cheering meet them at BWI. usually lots of folks in BWI waiting to board flts are also cheering these folks. They then take buses escorted by a local veteran's motorcycle club down to DC. Very emotional for the Vets and those greeting them. I have done this a couple of times and it's very special, especially when WWII vets are part of the flight.

BTW: the other day in our local Bob Evans I met a 99-yr old WWII vet. He was using a cane but otherwise was in great shape. Served on the USS Bonhomme Richard in 1944-46.

1155- Bora 61 (KC-46) land at DOV (132.425/126.35)
Ron was this one tail 16-46021 showing as PUDGY-95 into Dover same time as you posted BORA-61?
Departed Dover now Southbound at FL-240 down the coast.

Rgr on those Honor flights Ron as maybe the USAF will stop them but maybe private airline
folks can still run them :)

I'm thinking that they may use any extra aircraft from Ft Belvoir also.... The plane tracking flights should be interesting to monitor.

The logistics of all this will be demanding - to say the least! I would think we'll start seeing activity any time now, considering the distances some of these people will need to travel.

Langley FF Demo F-22's (RAPTOR-1) had bad time at this past weekend's Miramar airshow.
On two days ended up cutting demo short and towing them back. Friday show never got off the ground.
Maybe the old demos are getting tired and use some newer F-22's?
Their next show isn't till Oct 11 in Louisiana so got time to get back here and fix them :)

What’s “IP?”
From the acronym dictionary..
When they do stadium flyovers they call it TOT.. Time over Target but calculated down to the seconds.

"IP in Air Force commonly refers to Initial Point, a designated location used as a reference for navigation or mission planning. This term is essential in military operations to ensure accurate positioning and coordination during flight missions. It's mostly used in Military and Aviation contexts."

POTUS travel for Tuesday...While I haven't heard anything about the announcement, the timing makes me wonder if it is about the meeting with the generals.

8:10 AM THE PRESIDENT departs The White House en route Quantico, VA
9:00 AM THE PRESIDENT delivers remarks to the Department of War in Quantico, VA
10:40 AM THE PRESIDENT arrives The White House
11:00 AM THE PRESIDENT delivers an announcement
