1210- 2 FAA jets flying crazy patterns all over northern NJ, currently over central NJ. very low altitudes. Shadowing each other.
FLTCK2U is a larger jet, no info showing except the HEX- FAAFC1
N47 smaller jet BOMBARDIER BD-700, HEX- A5BEC0
I monitored Atlantic City approach on LiveATC a few minutes ago (the archive file for 1700-1730UTC and 1730-1800UTC)

The radar controller was confused as well. When N47 came up on frequency for landing back at KACY, the controller asked them if they had two transponders on. N47 replied that they are doing a WHAM project and it requires the use of two active transponders. So you have N47 flying but showing as two aircraft (two separate active transponders).

Hope that helps. Could not find any information related to WHAM and FAA - although I found a bunch of unrelated stuff.

That makes sense. I knew something weird was going on. It almost looked like a TIS-B shadow following the main jet. Thanks Terry.

I listened to Teterboro tower archive and when on approach they advised tower they were doing a system check at 150 over the runway and would need to depart straight out until 2000 feet - so more likely what Ron mentioned earlier. Just had to use two transponders instead of one.

Did anyone pick up their A/A or boom frequency ?
Thanks for your report Rene. Here's what I caught on recordings from here in Maine...

1343z 396.200 ROMA 61, 62 and TREND 11-14 on boom freq. ROMA 61 refueled all to Bangor then ROMA 62 took over from there in the block 250-270 All were topped off from this refuel. Only tail numbers given out were: TREND 11 (01)164874 TREND 12 (00)164873
1354z 336.225 TREND 11-14 A-A
1433z 242.300 ROMA 62 and TREND 11,12 doing comm checks on Euro Coronet boom freq for the next refueling.

(DC ANG) WILDS & DARKSTAR are up 238.175, 339.725
Warren Grove active.. 283.1, 266.6
Getting some weak coms on W-107 288.00 A/R as well. EDDIE-62 KC-135 doing track offshore now.
1750 local ANGRY-21 flight also out of Andrews headed offshore last heard with ZDC 307.275>281.450 FL200.

Odd C-5M departure out West.. RCH-449 C-5M #87-0041 departed Mesa airport KIWA just 20 miles SE of Phoenix
and enroute EGUN Mildenhall. KIWA not a busy airport with mostly some Allegiant airlines running the show but does have two 10k runways
being ex Mil airbase closed to BRAC in 1993.

Looks like the remaining two B-1's overseas will rtb Tomorrow as Res up in AR-62W 1600z-1930z.
UK folks on flight line this morning for B-1 departures. Should depart around 6:30am local time here.

Sierra Nevada has more work for Hagerstown facility.

There are a few people streaming from the fenceline. None seem to have the faintest idea about actual operations ;)

Only one of the bones will be departing, as BOLD31 around 11:00, the other still tech. They requested earlier departure but tankers (LAGER then CAGE) can't accomodate that.

edit:
LAGER92 (AE05B1 in the air)
