Supposedly there are ships from the Russian Navy are headed to Cuba for
some exercises and to piss off the US.

Word here is there are currently some vessels off the Florida east coast.

There is a P-8 (AE686F) that has been in an orbit east of Vero Beach.
Not a typical area for a P-8 to work.

There is also a Canadian P-3 (140108) joining in the area.

Another P-8 (AE66EA) headed into the area.
He is CHUB 99 with Miami Center.

Saw a couple P-8A's circling fairly low off Fla coast early this morning.
So far 3 ships and a sub and US Navy has a couple ships shadowing..Good real life practice for those US/Canada air spy guys.
News says ships arrive tomorrow in Cuba.. No biggie.. Just like the old days!

Meanwhile like today plenty of P-8A's to check out for Subs near Niagara Falls

Marine One landed at Delaware Air National Guard Base at 4:37 PM. The motorcade pulled up and POTUS exited Marine One at 4:40 PM. The president got into his vehicle. At 4:46 PM the motorcade was rolling

Seems a ton of P-8A's up this way today from Jacksonville all over the place doing airport approaches.

Never noticed before that CBP has tethered balloon up near Key West N807XR at about 2100 feet.

The Northrop CRJ-7s flew west in tandem, over Gaithersburg they split formation with one (Scan05) heading for Cumberland MD area where he's doing racetrack orbits at FL160-170. The second one (Scan 04) headed for the Harrisonburg VA for his racetrack orbits at FL160-170. First time I've seen them do this sort of flight route.

Yep, saw it from a distance while traveling to Key West last winter - the Cudjoe Key TARS site (believe its actually operated by DHS these days)

In the '70s that site was used by DOD to monitor Cuban VHF/UHF comms.
