Personally I think this Drone BS is just that, but I digress...

To that end, CH-53 165344 took a trip from McGuire out over Barnegat Inlet, down the coast to Cape May and back, apparently at a very low altitude according to the NJ board. Same airframe is now doing low, tight circles over the Greenwood Forest WMA just west of Route 539. There is also a TIS target "297B97" flying a funny pattern just west of Lakehurst at about 1400'.

Do you know how loud a low flying CH-53E is? If you see or hear one of them flying low sure isn't no drone.
Maybe CH-53E on drone patrol :)
Agree though some supposed drone videos looked like small aircraft on landing approaches but doesn't explain all.

Tonight MAINE-86 KC-135 down in R-4006 #63-8873 looking for his clearance back to Maine awaiting Bay Watch on 354.800.
Baywatch says stay in the range area till cleared. Must have been doing Maryland A-10's at that low altitude of 16k.
1855 local MD A-10s heard A/A now on 271.400 with altimeter report.Prob for Martin State.

Yeah a few years back I was driving up I-95 just south of Wilmington and two McGuire CH-53's
were coming South right at me over the Interstate at about 800 feet. Man that sure gets your attention.. Mean as Hell :)

Just a bit ago had WILD-11 flight out of Andrews come East and working W-107 on range freq 339.725 and A/A 238.175.

Earlier ZIPPO-82 MC-130J #22-5989 inbound Harrisburg on their OPs 395.100 alpha 2.Req pickup truck for some parts.
In from Warner Robins.. Maybe getting some work done.Sure has no distinct markings recently pictured.Clean machine.

Earlier ZIPPO82 22-5989 traveled south with ZIPPO?? 10-5714. Zippo 82 headed to Hurlbert Field while 10-5714 went to Warner Robbins. When ZIPPO82 were complete at Hurlbert they flew up to Warner Robbins and picked up the crew from 10-5714 and returned home.

It might be for him, but he usually gets VIP TFR and a 5000' restriction.
Yes but maybe inside DC beltway area security zone near Andrews AFB they don't need separate higher altitude TFR.
That may change come Saturday but we shall see.
Security in and around Stadium will be robust for sure. :)

Speaking of drones, a local newspaper published a story today on Facebook of two large drones flying low over York Road in Dillsburg Pa on November 21st around 5:30pm. Remember that night? We found out they were C-130s of the 193rd SOW doing night ops 😆. The comments however could be a bit concerning people saying they'll shoot at them next time.

OT, but here in West Virginia our anti-drone plan involves standing on mountaintops with shotguns.

I was suspicious of much of the drone videos when some of the aircraft had nav lights on. Seems to me undesirable if you're trying to run a surveillance operation. And I am very aware that it is difficult to judge the range or size of any aircraft at a distance. But the issue is not going away.

The government has done a poor job of managing the PR on all of this, leading to concern and mistrust among the population. Like with the initial days of the Chinese spy balloon affair.
