FAD-3079 A169 chopper thru here headed South I assume for delivery to Dominican Republic
on Dover apch 132.425. Sounded like US pilot at the controls.

More info on those temp grounded Ospreys..
That FAD-3079 helicopter has been flying around the Philadelphia/southern NJ area for the past few weeks since there is an AgustaWestland plant based at Northeast Philadelphia AP. Guessing flight testing before its delivered.

Yeah interesting did some searching and seems this tail 3079 was originally part of a deal to Qatar which fell thru
so supposedly delivered via C-17 to the DR but seems to have wound up back here getting work in Philly.

Wrong airline ID but working its way back South.

Yeah the airline in Saudi Arabia is still the valid holder of "FAD" but probably little activity expected in USA so probably not an issue

OT: US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet shot down over the Red Sea by USS Gettysburg.

I can imagine all the rfi being generated in that area when you hear how much rfi is generated just by our own electronics in our homes and between radios on our desks. This was bound to happen at some point with all those signals being mixed and generated where they shouldn't be causing all kinds of random signals.

OT: USS Lincoln finally made San Diego today after recent deployment.. Odd was the Carrier Wings left ship for home 5 days
or so ago and the Lincoln just kind of steamed back and forth offshore around Baja for 5 days.
Usually in Norfolk when the Carrier Wings depart, the Carrier makes port the very next day.
Maybe they offload all the munitions before making port in crowded residential San Diego harbor area.
Welcome Home to crews of the USS Lincoln.:)

I did a deployment on that ship. When we were on the return leg, we spent three days offloading the munitions, near Hawaii. If they didn't make a port call at Pearl Harbor, then they might have offloaded in e SoCal Opera.

The airwing aircraft would fly off the day before pulling in to NASNI, whenever we were doing work with them.

I really hope that is not the case. A large part of my job, as the main EMC technician, was to make sure we didn't have those types of problems. If the powers that be decided to eliminate the program, that was a huge mistake. If the leadership in the battle group ignored the EMC tech, which happened a bit with me, and some sort of EMI caused/contributed to the incident, it was a costly mistake.

Regardless of how hings unfolded, at least the flight crew survived. There is going to huge investigation.

Yeah the USS Lincoln deployment was short 5 month cruise these days but started in the Western Pacific and
then they went to Middle East for a stint.. Maybe sailed straight home after that and skipping Hawaii.
Crew members must get antsy sailing back and forth offshore Baja/San Diego for days until they get home.
Wonder if their cellphones can get local towers while offshore there? :)

There goes the DR A169 chopper originally out of Philly maybe one more Bahama Island fuel stop before getting home to the DR?

A couple of the C-17's departed Homestead on island route towards San Juan or St Croix.
They keep turning their ADSB off when they get up and near Nassau area.RCH-3202 and RCH 3250.
