0945-Reach 4600 (C-17) departed ADW as Reach 4600 and changed to MFCAMC on way down to St Croix.
Seems a ADS-B dead zone off Northeast Cuba all the way down to the DR area.
ADS-B callsign switches to ADS-C Sat default for C-17's is MFCAMC but same callsign on Acars and radio.
They have been secret squirrely on this entire mission though including those 3 C-17's the other day
departing Homestead for the islands and all dropped off right away.
Still not sure who will have CAP duty starting tomorrow. Homestead F-16's or Mass F-15's.
I haven't heard any Mass F-15's thru here this past week.

Mark,

I'm guessing they will let the Homestead guys, or someone from the southeast, do the CAPs.

Good evening and Merry Christmas everyone !!

WOODEN 71 (63-8003) dragged four fighters to San Juan as VIEW 21-24, Monday December 23rd.
ATC was confused whether they were F-15s or F-16s, so still uncertain who will be manning the CAP ....

RCH-3206 back inbound McGuire now.. Sure not much ADS-B tracking history..
Hope C-17's don't start doing these blackouts all the time over the pond.

How are you determining which flight is carrying what?

Over time I have kept records of these towers. The info I have on them is listed below from North to South. I have seen 2 at Newark.:

Tower 1- No Name, 40.680, -74.167, ADF9DC

Tower 2- No Name, 40.698, -74.154, ADF9DD

Tower 3- B270E02, 39.800, -73.905, ADF967

Tower 4- No Name, 39.182, -73.791, ADF894

Tower 5- ELW01, 38.433, -74.086, ADFB95
I did a little work and came up with these. These are street views of the two towers across from Newark Airport. Very close to shipping companies.
