1606 Two Ch-53's near Norfolk air to air on 289.475
That frequency has been noted before as per this post in 2022.

Could be it is used by HM-14 or HM-15 as well.

I saw there was a ROMA 31 inbound and wondered if he was dragging anyone. I checked my recordings. The only thing I caught was TREND 95 checking in with ZBW on 338.200 at 2243z at FL160 mentioned another (96?) in trail. I heard the second fighter comm check. Female said, "two" I'm ASSuming this was TREND 95/96 a couple of LN F-15s into Barnes (KBAF) ? No refueling comms recorded but that doesn't surprise me as they were most likely done refueling over Nova Scotia.

Update -
I just listened to Barnes KBAF LiveATC archive from 2300-2330z and I heard on there it was most definitely TREND 95/96 flight of two. 96 was the female pilot I heard on ZBW checking in.

1815 local Someone-21 from 22 on black-1 A/A 341.750 reports 75 miles South of Syracuse..Says on "Black-1 in the green for crypto AIT-1".
Could only hear one side said will work the 10 minute slip. "Did you get anything back from them on low side about their request?"

Way up North AR-62E Res late tonight 0500z-0800z FL-210 to FL-280.Probably related to those Flam tankers
and large NATO exercise around Norway.
Another Res posted for tomorrow for AR-62W 2045z-2359z same flight levels 210-280.
Looks like round robin power mission from Minot perhaps?

Night Owls tonight may catch them on Montreal Center CYFB remote Bilingual site that covers that area.
Lots of French speaking locals as well..

I was just looking at AR62 on SUA website because I thought you had posted that earlier. You read my mind! I thought maybe these BUFFs were headed up there but they wouldn't be going this early. Your guess of Minot (or Ellsworth?) makes more sense.

Three KC-46's off McGuire headed Northeast TART-45,46,47. Hawk just beat me.. LOL

Yes Ed I expect around 10PM or so local a tanker or two will show departing Pease or Bangor headed due North.
Couple hours ride up that away from New England or maybe the 3 Tarts are headed that way?
Nice feather in the cap for the Mcguire KC-46's if it is for them :)

It’s used by a lot of west coast helicopter squadrons - might be an area common freq out there.

Any idea on if they landed at Norfolk?

0920L - AIRCRAFT 97 calling MAINSAIL for a radio check. No response.

1016L - MAINE85 calling MAINSAIL for r/c. Interrupted by FLY BALL with message TDMPLO.
1023L - MAINE85 calling MAINSAIL for r/c. Both stations checked weak but readable. MAINE85 requests position of MAINSAIL. MS asks for a say again, MAINE85 requests geographical position of MS. Two more request say agains and no response.

2036L - Sounded like GRIP11 flight calling for a radio check on 11175 kHz, GRIP12 responds LC.
