OT: was just watching Space X launch satellite Thuraya-4 for UAE Space-42 company at the Cape.
All went well and they mentioned Sat came to the Cape via Airbus Beluga jet a couple months ago.
Thought that sounded familiar here as logged by Ed in Maine with pics.
Ed you had some snow on the ground 2 months ago.. Just getting our first snow of season now

Thanks for the follow up on the Beluga, Mark. No snow on the ground here anymore. Christmas eve snow was washed away by rain and 50 degree WX since then. We're getting the arctic blast now (currently 9 degrees here) but we're also dodging the Mid-Atlantic storm headed your way. Hopefully you all make out okay down there safely.

Airbus and Boeing both taking financial hits on their Space businesses..
Good news is that Airbus Space division will ship prob more satellites to the Cape via Beluga jets in coming years.

OT: KC Chiefs Football team just made it to Denver for football game tomorrow.
Lots of icing at KC forced airport closure.. Boeing United Airlines Dreamliner N26960 made the trip.
Not a long haul for sure as 1 hour 45 min trip.
Those UAL Dreamliners sure get around.. check out schedule of this one particular plane.

On Monday, January 6, the President and the First Lady will travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, in the afternoon. It will be an interesting test for ADW ground crews with the pending storm, at least POTUS should be headed west after New Orleans stop.
