PDs seem to still be making a gradual transition. More units showing up on the TRS side all the time. I am not aware of any formal transition date.No word on PD yet? I know they were supposed to switch over after FD.

TG 1526 is looking to be North Greece Fire Secondary channel, they are using it mainly for Fire Police the same as Hamlin, Morton & Walker is using 1523. I have also heard them using it for training.I just had some activity on TG 1526. "127 to command", "we have 27 and 117 on scene", "17 to 27". It sounds like Fire Police.
The combination of temporary patches and switching between TDMA and FDMA is odd. Last night 1072 and 1075 were P2 TDMA but the other VHF links and the OPS TGs were FDMA. I doubt they will turn off the VHF links until RFD has fully transitioned.I went ahead and submitted several Fire Battalion 2 Talk Groups, I had them programmed in and verified but never submitted.
I hope when they switch over on Nov. 2nd they turn off the VHF repeaters or links or whatever causes all the brief periods of dead carrier on some of the channels. Fixing whatever causes the temporary patches would be great also.

I understand that RFD recently decided to join the system sometime next year. There are TGs assigned specifically for RFD use and some RFD units have reportedly been heard on the system.I had thought that RFD decided to stay on VHF and not transition to Harris system.
If TG 1704, 1705, 1706 are Ops 2, 3, 4, what will the dispatch TG be? I have observed testing on TG 1702 and 1703.The new RFD talkgroups in the DB should be changed to Ops 2, Ops 3, and Ops 4 in line with the rest of the new fire talkgroups.

RFD obviously has not yet started to use the TRS for their own operations since it appears only a few units are equipped. RFD dispatch and non mutual aid operations are only on the TRS through the VHF patch TGs.I've yet to hear rfd dispatch reference any ops 2-4.

11/2 is the switchover for County fire agencies to the ops talkgroups. No calls will be assigned to Fire 3 or 4. RFD to stay on Fire 1 and 2 for now.
VHF 3 and 4 are quiet this morning and Ops 6 and 8 are active.
