I finally heard a Rochester FD unit on the trunk TG-1806 Ops 8, Engine-12 mutual aid with Brighton with a UID of 2163098 & 022.

I presume that I am not the only individual hearing the ear-piercing screeching sound at the beginning of transmissions on TG 1809 (Ops 7 - West Secondary) This is not heard on any other TG. Is this some type of data burst?

I just reviewed several days recordings on 1809 and do not hear anything out of normal. I'm on the West site, Which site are you monitoring ?

I too am on the Westside, monitoring the West site. Hmmm......................I'll reconfirm my programming and perhaps simply delete the TG and then reprogram the TG and see if that might make a difference.

For several weeks the Fire/EMS TGs 1071-1076, Fire Ops 18xx TGs and Henrietta FD 1654 have been operating in FDMA mode. Individual department TGs such as CHS and Gates are P II. In the past, Fire/EMS had been primarily P II. I am not sure how long the switch to FDMA has been present, just noticed recently. Does anybody know why or if this will be permanent?

I don't know why ,but I just finished programming my 396XT onto the trunk and have been using it to monitor while I'm outside and it works very well. Like you said most of the fire and EMS is FDMA but the PD and individual TG's are P2. I hope they leave it this way then I can leave my 396XT in my truck and listen on the road. The new firmware I loaded also gave me additional P25 adjustments and the ability to load some user ID names with FreeSCAN.

Today I notice that Gates TG 1607 is also now switched to FDMA mode.

Gates is actually moving back and forth, I have my SDS100 and 396XT on my desk and sometimes they are only on the SDS100 in P2 and other times I receive them on both scanners. I thought I had messed up on the 396 programming and after checking that, I noticed they were on P2.

They had been P2 in the past , then recently switching back and forth. This would usually mean a FDMA only radio affiliated which forces the TG to FDMA. But, now they seem to have been FDMA all day today.

Anyone ever hear any activity or submit the newly listed Sheriff's Tac 1 TG-2121?
I monitor with search ID and never have heard anything with that ID.

Units testing with Radio Center "on Tac 1"

What cell are you listening to? Perhaps it's only being carried on the East cell.

I submitted this after I heard extensive testing this morning (on Monroe E) on TG 2121 with units saying "on Tac 1". They then switched to "Interop" and came up on TG 1200 and in TDMA while this TG had formerly been reported as FDMA. So, I submitted both.

Units mentioned locations on Clinton and Hudson Avenues so they would have likely been on Monroe E. only.

I suspect that TGs 2121-2123 may be the replacement for VHF Sheriff Tac channels 11-13. TGs 2124-2128 appear to be Sheriff Tac type use with 2124 and 2128 in "TE" mode.

I think you are probably correct in those assumptions, I was wondering myself after looking over the list in table form. I had a hit on 2214
last week with a UID of 2361030 which would make it Greece PD, but only heard one unit asking if someone could hear them, so you might be hearing that sometime in the future.
There was a lot of surveillance activity on 7025 last evening they were OCSO on a Tac channel, 7024 is OCSO car to car.

I heard the 7025 activity last night with Geneva locations mentioned. I saw 2 Geneva PD RIDs involved along with OCSO and some RIDs I could not pin down to a particular agency. I have heard 7025 activity for years I can not pin down to a specific user to submit it. At times I have heard what sounds like NYSP BCI and other times possibly Probation. 7026 is another apparent Tac frequency with unknown use but I suspect NYSP. It is a Tac frequency but I don't know what to call it. I also can't say that 7024 is specifically OCSO. Last week I heard a unit call in a traffic stop on 7005 but there was no response. The 702x TGs could all be general countywide Tac use. There is also a 7633 TE TG that has been active for a long time including last night.

Since I was hearing 7025 on Monroe E and you on Monroe W, there must have been involved units in our area.

No hits on 2214 here but I get hits on 2213 but never heard anything. TE activity on 2017 last night. In the past it seemed to be a secondary TG for 2016 but last night all hits were on 2017.

I was in Letchworth State Park this morning and found that with the Uniden antenna I was able to receive the Monroe county west site, it was choppy but, by the time I was in York reception was perfect. I had that antenna because I wanted to listen to Livingston county's P25 but the trees in the park basically blocked it out (VHF). The river is very low, we need rain badly.

I have seen info that Nov 2 is now the transition date for Fire to the TRS and structure fire response after that date will be on the OPS TGs except for RFD which will delayed until 2021.
