Would that affect units at Central Dispatch as well? 9283913 is a Dispatch Radio, and a few MMR units have 928 RIDs, which is understandable. Funnily enough though, all of Grand Traverse County's MMR units have 973 RIDs out of Saginaw County.

MMR is based out of saginaw which isn't a surprise that they have 973 RID's.

is the 3913 a MMR dispatch radio or GT dispatch radio?

3913 is a radio at Manistee County Dispatch, it has a very loud PTT sidetone leading me to believe it's a base rather than a console.
I would think thats a base for sure and not a dispatch console.

Are you all getting MANY MSP for check in's and outs for MSP district 5 mainly and some district 6's/7's on unknown and even some known talkgroups?
At least on the calls site, we have seen I swear a good few dozen have shown up in last few weeks, maybe legitimate, but unusual I would think to have that many patched on so many talkgroups?

I.e.'s

I saw in another post, the issue of these multiple MSP's showing up all over was reported the day before.
Response there was to report the node. It was NOT at all easy to find how to report a node, but I think I correctly did for node 536.

Not sure if this is related to that or not, but I was getting TG 6019 off of River Central last night. 6019 is listed as
U.P. Region: East Dispatch (Posts 82, 83)
in the DB.

4857 - Encrypted, didn't get RIDs. Off of River Central site.

4974 (40PGFLAMB) - County paging channel. Operations and check-in move to 40F911 after initial dispatch. Off of Rapid City and South Boardman sites.

I got some traffic on 6019 off of Grayling... patched with 6030.
I see 9284xxxx RID's on 4857 off the Sharon site, all encrypted.

As for Ronaldski's problem... if something happens and decode quality goes bad... you can get all sorts of crazy nonsense.

Saw 5510 patched to 5509... Well... GL Energy dispatcher was patched, no one else seemed to be.

Would 6019 being patched with 6030 cause it to show up on my 325 as '6019 6019' on the screen? I've only noticed that on a few different TGs.

I see 9284 on GT County Law Enforcement, so I'd guess it's related to TNT or Detectives.

After 24 years my old Uniden BC 780XLT finally became totally useless for Oakland County Michigan when in Jan 2024 everything seems to have gone to the new P25 MPSCS. I purchased a secondhand Uniden BCD996P2. I have been experimenting downloading to it with FreeSCAN from RadioReference with mixed results. Is there anyone in Oakland County with good knowledge of what I should be importing to the radio? I used the Oakland County Simulcast site with the talk Groups marked 63, But it seems to be missing a lot. I'd like to be able to listen to Lake Orion Fire if anyone can help as well as other North/East Oakland County.

The issue is simulcast. Simulcast is multiple towers transmitting on the same frequency. The 996P2 was not designed to handle simulcast, unlike the SDS100/200. You could try lowering your antenna all the way to try and reduce the number of subsites received, or move it around until you can get consistency with the simulcast cell, or both.

On the MPSCS RID wiki page I added 450 RIDs from Muskegon County. Should I keep Muskegon County as its own section due to the RID Count or should I use existing formatting? Existing formatting would be in RID # order, thus mixing up some departments in the list.

I've noticed that nearly every talkgroup that comes in off of the Mesick 1 tower is very clear and have almost no breaks in the transmissions, however TG 5370 (Wexford County Fire/EMS Dispatch) always comes in broken and faint off of that tower. I've never had that issue off of the Manton tower. Any ideas on why this might be?

I don't have an answer, but I do have a question along those lines.... Last fall, Crawford Co went to GRCC for central dispatch. Before the cutover, I would hear transmissions that came in pretty garbled but dispatch was able to understand what was said. Since switching to GRCC, there are transmissions that I hear just fine, but GRCC has to ask for repeats, and its relatively often. Is there a loss of audio quality when going over the microwave links vs. being on the same site?

Isabella County will be getting a second MPSCS tower, to be built at Isabella County Central Dispatch.
This tower will be part of a $4.8 million plan to improve coverage in the county.
Another part of the plan will be the replacement of all Isabella County Law Enforcement mobile & portable radios.
