Much appreciated. I’ve yet to program it in as the home office is in disarray due to me taking in too many projects at once. 🙄 As for that department and radio traffic, they‘re the ones who had a terrific desk sargent have a major career ending stroke on an overnight shift only to be discovered hours later at the end of the shift on the floor. After that they instituted hourly radio checks (not sure if still being done though).

Yeah, a puppet fed nonsense from whoever at MTA is recruiting Westchester PDs to join the system.

I believe that TG is an agency completely different from Pville. But that's a topic for another MTA/MRRS rabbit hole discussion.
Realistically, This move was a smart one for Pleasantville PD. They've been plagued by a poor system and poor infrastructure for years. Originally, they were using PR860s. Once those became legacy radios, they rolled over to the XPR7550s and rumors swirled around they were going to have a digital conventional channel. If you listened to them often, (which you may have) they often did time stamps over the air for portable coverage issues or returning to hq for portable issues... While I don't think MRRS will be a miracle system, it will certainly be better than what they were operating with, before. The chief is actually quite a nice gentleman, and only wants the best for his department. Certainly cant slight him for trying.

Bill24-I'm in Westchester County, NY (Eastchester) so have you heard when Mamaroneck Town/Village/Larchmont will be changing over to METRO-25/MTA MRRS?
I had heard the new console arrived at Larchmont Police a while ago. The analog frequency of 154.755/100.0 is NOT good anymore on top of Winged Foot Tower9(Poor Coverage) and it is to my understand that the new digital towers or antennas shall I say are also up there as the past Summer of 2023.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bob (KB2GQK)
I have not heard any new info on Mamaroneck yet

What rid's are you seeing on 9592?
According to UT, on Zones 2 & 3, all RIDs are 42434xx except their console, which is a Fully Qualified RID (which UT can't decode) 597992.10.6629135. All the 42434xx IDs haven't shown up on TG 9595.

I understand that point of view of wanting better equipment, trust me. I didn't mean to sound like I was bashing the police chief. I don't know him personally, but I'm sure he wants the best for his department. I mean no disrespect for Law Enforcement in general (despite what others may think). I just think the board minutes communication section was way too rushed, and he sounded like he was on autopilot. But I digress. I hope MRRS works for them and it seems like it is.

Wow, I did not hear that story. Yikes. When I used to work the night shift, we did hourly radio checks for a similar reason, despite how much others hated it. Are you talking about 9592 or the possible 9595 department?

That was referring to Pville PD (the suspected 9595 TBD?? and suspected fully encrypted TBD??).

Oh, ok, interesting story about Pville PD.

9595, I think, is going to be SUNY Purchase PD. I heard them yesterday doing some traffic control details and referencing areas on campus. The RID appears to be new. I haven't been able to copy their VHF or UHF, but who knows? I put it down in the wiki and will continue monitoring it. So far, all comms are clear.

These are all the 42434xx I logged on Zone 1. Did hear the traffic detail yesterday with Lincoln, Cottage and what sounded like facilities crossroads mentioned.

Guys, quick question. Running sdr trunk and download zone 3 direct from RR, with the Yorktown TG under alias. We know they have been talking yet with an active waterfall spectrum and the control tower in idle I have no idea why I have no audio or at least picking up traffic on the Yorktown TG. Any help or suggestions?

Try Zone 2 instead. Zone 3 is southern westchester. Zone 2 will be the best to pick up YPD.

Seeing traffic on TGID 6032 on zone 4 with UIDs starting with 932xxxx any idea what it could be sounds to possibly PD not sure though.
Should be surveillance, possible NYS Attorney General OCTF, NYSP SIU or Special Narcotics Prosecutors or other multi agency Task Force. I've never been able to exactly figure it out. On Metro 21 NYS AG and NYSP SIU use to do a lot of surveillance and I had the talkgroups identified.
TG 6032, heavy activity on it today and yesterday. I do have audio going back months. From past posts and the wiki, looks like it affiliates to zones 1,2,3,4 & Metro 25. Definitely sounds like investigators doing surveillance, on what i would say organized crime or drug dealers. I wonder if it could be NYSP BCI? they don’t seem to identify themselves, but i did hear in the background of one of the transmissions the sounds of NYSP Troop K radio.

Seems like 6031 and 6032 are related but they are transmitting more on 6032. All 9320xxx RIDs

All state pd rids I have logged (on Zone 1) are 7XXXXXX. They 7 rid's I have logged on 6032 are all 932XXXX and the only 932XXX being seen on Zone 1. I also see that these 7 radios only log into 6032.

I don't see anything for 6031 on Zone 1.

Has anyone undoubtedly heard Pleasantville PD recently? I’ve heard nothing on the suspected TGs.

Not that anyone else probably cares but their DPW no longer seems to use 151.04 as they have for years. PVAC used to be dispatched on that same frequency until that responsibility went over to 60 Control (which delays the dispatch but…..) Any insight to Pville PD or DPW would be appreciated.

Pleasantville PD is using LTE on this system until their tower is completed.
