Try listening on 853.4500, the control channel for the old system. Enter it as a plain old conventional channel and take a listen. If the system is still there you will hear the machine gunning sound of the raw data stream. When that goes silent it's safe to assume it either moved to one of the other channels or has been shut down.

Anyone know when Uniden grabs the Freq. List from RR so the Sentinel Software can load to the HomePatrol

Nashua FD Dispatch was still using it at same time transmitting on new system
I just checked and (725C) still sent on 853.450 and is motor boating as a CC would

But we are using new system for Tac channels. Not sure if that will go away it's pretty much the same as 151.250 MHz

FD - FG 2, FG 3, FG 4, FG 5 all should be FIRE TAC Channels not Fire Talk.
PD - TAC 1 and TAC 2 Should be LAW Dispatch Channels

Not sure where you work at NFR 85 But 151.250 is the VHF Patch for Channel 1 and 154.325 is the Patch for Fire ground and Mutual Aid EMS units usually on TAC 7

Since he said "we" in his post and his screen name is NFR 85, I'll go out on a limb and suggest that he might work at Nashua Fire-Rescue.

It's P25, there is no band plan. Even though the audio in the old system was digital, the control channel was not P25. Which is why a band plan was needed. The new system is true P25, so no band plan is required.

Anyone confirm the band plan yet? Steve

I've been trying to get my Pro-96 to hear the new system, by hand since the Valley Enterprises cable I ordered to replace my lost Rat Shack cable seems to only want to let me download. It's been a decade since I set the thing up so I've RTFM'd a few times and programmed in the freqs in the updated list. I figure the new talkgroup IDs can wait until I can at least hear the voice traffic. From other posts I've read that the Pro-96 should be able to handle the new Nashua system, so I'm probably brain farting something.

Manually listening to the different freqs 853.45 is reporting as the old 7C25 system and is "machine gun" sound. 852.55 is occasional static, sometimes with a beep here and there. I saw a TG ID in the 66K range, and during the static the "MO" indicator flashes "DG."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes your scanner will work. Do you have the new frequencies in? Nashua Fire has 100% switched over but PD not 100% sure like I said in previous posts. Make sure when you program you program it as P25 that was my mistake when I did it manually I didn't do it under P25 and heard nothing.

So I have a HomePatrol1 and have been waiting for RR/Uniden Sentinel to come out with the update for Nashua's new P25 System. Still nothing. So I figured I would enter it in manually. Here is my problem, I cant hear anything on the Fire side of communications. I can hear talk on Police, City Wide, even some unknown Talk Groups, but nothing for Fire, I also can hear EMS talking to Fire Alarm, any suggestions as to what I may have missed Programing the favorites list.
I used all the Freq's and talk groups from this page:
City of Nashua Trunking System, Nashua, New Hampshire - Scanner Frequencies

Thanks in advance

I have the new frequencies in per the updated page (control, alternates, and voice), with the entire bank set to Motorola prior to entry and all frequencies set to MO during entry. It's still showing up as the old 7C25 instead of the new 5C6. Do I need to set the 3600 and 9600 options to anything other than "Normal?" If "program it as P25" means something other than how the manual describes programming an APCO-25/Motorola system, I may need a few more pointers.

I found my original cable and uploaded a fresh config, with no joy getting anything from the new Nashua system. Here's what I have in the bank as viewed in Win96:

Bank 4 Ch 00 852.55000 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 01 852.75000 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 02 853.26250 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 03 853.45000 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 04 851.05000 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 05 851.60000 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 06 851.77500 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 07 852.36250 MOT 0.0 D
Bank 4 Ch 08 853.51250 MOT 0.0 D

Bank type is set to MOT, and both 3600 and 9600 are set to "Normal." I've entered in the NFR and NPD talkgroups.. I'm probably thinking too hard and missing something silly.
