~Your Name (& ham callsign if you have one)
Mike (lots of us in this roll call, it seems!)
~Location
Wake County, south of Raleigh
~Radios in your shack
PRO-2006, BCD-396T, PRO-197 (thanks to the almost half-off sale at RS just before Christmas...)
~What do you monitor on a daily basis?
Most Wake County VIPER-related Public Safety groups (Fire, EMS/med Air, LE, excluding a few of the more distant small towns), aircraft, some of the Statewide groups, the limited media traffic that still exists, SKYWARN when the net is active, etc - when I'm at the coast, I like to add Marine Channels and MILAIR for that area, where other types of traffic are so limited by comparison to here.
Been in and out of scanning for a few decades, but just got a digital unit about a year ago. Big learning curve, but a lot of fun, and lot smoother because of having RR available as a guide!
