I had a Realistic Pro-2004 that is beyond repair. I am looking at purchasing a new scanner. Regretfully, the new scanner lingo is new to me. Triple-Trunking, Digital, etc., All these are new terms to me. Should I be looking at digitals at $500+ or a cheap (But customer highly ranked) Pro-433 at $119. I don't want to buy something and have it obsolete in a year or so. Thanks for any replies

The town or the county or both? The database shows them (the city) using SAFET with just two talk groups so I imagine they have both the SAFET system and conventional to use. So you could go with the newer type scanner and your ready if the rest of the city/county goes digital in the future.
