OK, I'm still getting 102 here nice & strong.

And to touch on what I said before about the site #'s - I was receiving 103 down in Lanoka Harbor, and then again as I was near the Cheesquake service plaza on the GSP. There's no way a single site is covering that much territory, along with the fact that I was receiving 134 very strong as I passed through the Toms River/Brick area...

Last month when I was traveling down the GSP, I came across the following (on a PSR 500):

Atlantic City and Woodbine area: 774.56875cc S005 $395
Wall Twp. area: 773.31875cc S034 $394
Holmdel area: 770.93125cc S023 $390
Upper Montclair and Newark area: 774.78125cc S001 $390

I submitted this to the database, but my submission was rejected due to me not having "ProCom 96 data" to support my findings. So I throw this out there to those who have much more advanced programs and toys than I do to verify what data is being broadcasted, etc. :)

This thread was titled the way it was because the new statewide 700MHz system went on-air first in South Jersey. Now, there are transmitter sites pooping up all over the place...

Thanks for the clarification...I should have thought of that. If the sites are pooping up all over the place that would make for a somewhat messy situation...? Offbeat humor but on a more serious note how long do you guys think before the system is implemented fulltime?

Using a PSR-800, but I've been able get it to work on my 996XT. Think a few of the guys on here are using a RS Pro-96 also.

Are you sure you have the correct system type and tables programmed in?

Tables are not needed - they load into the radio when it gets a strong enough control channel signal.

Now, if he's using FreeScan to program that 996XT, there has been numerous cases in the past were Assaf's setting choices have confused those trying to set up a standard P25 system...

That's what I was getting at poorly worded. Thanks Scott. Has anyone picked up any Phase II TDMA tests at all yet? Seems like they've stayed on the straight and narrow thus far.

I did some Pro96Com capture on the system and it does not appears this system is running TDMA yet. Few weekends ago I was in DC and Prince George's county has been confirmed using a mix of FDMA and TDMA transmissions.

Prince George's 700MHz X2-TDMA system:

Notice that there is a /0 and /1 next to the voice frequencies, indicating that the it's a 2 slot TDMA channel.

New Jersey's PSIC System:

Notice there is no timeslot information on the voice frequencies, so it is safe to say that it does not appear this system is using TDMA

It appears that the Holmdel site is using 769.44375 as a control channel (maybe an alternate CC?). Anyone with the proper decoders, data slicers, fancy decoding programs, etc, may want to check this one out to support my findings. :)

I've been hearing some ops on talkgroup 2289 referring to 5-Comm and I heard a unit going to Fort Monmouth for training.

Today in Budd Lake, Site 124 is now gone, site 127 is active here. 770.7187.

I also noticed site 102 was completely gone when I hit Hackettstown this morning, then when I got to the top of Route 80 at the Washington/Mt. Olive border it was back 100%. I lost it quickly after that.

This morning the Cherry Hill dispatch and emergency road service trucks were operating virtually non-stop. Routes were primarily 295 and the road to the Walt Whitman Bridge. This was the most activity heard to date.

Some help please, with PSR96Com. Using Vista SP2, Win500 works well. I have no problem with memory management software for both Yaesu radios. But I can't get any PSR96Com display to the laptop. Device Manager show USB port 14 available and some "RIM" ports; nothing seems to work. When the scanner is in the "analyze" mode, I can see the site data on its screen. I'm using the RS programming cable; I've exited Win500. Ideas? Thanks.

Under the edit tab, decode config, did you pick your scanner and under Communications you should have com port choice.

Yes and yes. I've been playing with ports since an Apple II and a PC RBBS telephone BBS, but this has me stumped. I can see the data light in the programming cable flicker, so I know data is flowing. :-(

I noticed during last week sometime that Tower 101 has more adjacent sites showing up:
First there was only 1 (don't remember which) but now it's up to 4

Some observations I had while driving around today:

Site 102: Goes as far west as Hackettstown and as far south as Ringoes (Route 31 near the Quick Chek to be exact. I did pick up site 136 while in Hunterdon (in and out)

Going South on Route 31, there was a noticeable dead area between the Hunterdon/Mercer county line to Pennington.

Site 103 Picks up just past Pennington, continues down 295 to approx. Burlington.

Site 104 Picks up at Burlington. I went as far south as Route 38. I had the site along Route 38 Between Mt. Holly and the Cherry Hill Mall.

One other thing, I did pick up another 700Mhz system west of Flemington:

Site 0006h02, CC 773.7937. Maybe Bucks County?

I caught some 5-Comm ops on talkgroup 2289 once again, looks like REMU was trying some patches per this Pro96Com packet data:
