New Sites

Sounded to me like new (700) sites are Netcong, Jefferson Twsp (Bowling Green) and soon ,Washington Twsp.

Agree John?

That's how I took it too. I find it interesting how talkgroups are coming and going. I wonder if they are actually turning patches on and off or if they are tied to a 700Mhz radio affiliation.

I am also still seeing a good 10-15 new DOT radios showing up on the NJSP system daily in unitrunker, along with DOC and some NJSP (all in the 4xxxx range).

This is just a guess on my part, but I see a pattern starting to develop with the Maintenance area's

3085 Area 33 confirmed
3087 Area 34?
3089 Area 35?
3091 Area 36?
3093 Area 38?
3095 Area 370?

This popped up on my PSR-410 earlier on 770.70625:

VC: 1sTGID- 2064

Odd, given the PSR-410 is an analog scanner lol

I notice when the 5-Comm ops come on 700 MHz its only when a radio ID (like 41287) affiliates to the talkgroup (2237 or 2289)

. I wonder if they are actually turning patches on and off or if they are tied to a 700Mhz radio affiliation.

Well, I finally disabled the PSIC talkgroup. Fri, Sat, Sun the DOT ESP off tower 104 (Berlin) kept the scanner locked up virtually all day and evening. Accidents and disabled vehicles, mattresses and dead animals in the roadway. Can you say b-o-r-i-n-g? Argh...

Just heard DOT Unit 5003 on DOT Statewide sign off (as he normally does), however this time it was only on the 700Mhz system. Maybe this is the start of some separation of the 2 systems??

Has anyone heard traffic on the "CIB Cent-4 Criminal Investigation Bureau – Central Ops 4" Group yet? It's the one I would be interested in. Trying to justify buying the new GRE I guess

Its been active however its a simulcast from the 800 system last time I checked....

I looked over that spread sheet,a lot of unknown talkgroups I never knew about;system wiki on here has been updated. also I noticed one talkgroup was labeled "Traffic Central" I think that is incorrect going by the radio zone channel assignments there's only a traffic south and north.

Thanks Elias1988. Based upon that info, I'll wait until there's something other than NJDOT on the sys before picking up the new GRE.

I should rename that to central ESP. I would assume that one is temporary. I have also been logging the system during the day with my hp-1 to see if anything new pops up. No real surprises so far. I am still seeing new dot radios every day though.
