i am hearing some njdot talkgroups 3081 and 3079. they sound like maint crews doing snow removal on the state roads?
I found the following document on-line from NJTPA and was curious if this is the same project or are we missing anything?

09317 Radio Communications System Replacement
Replace current low band and 800 MHz radio systems with new 220 MHz system being used by NJTPK, being partnered with them to include NJDOT.
NJDOT will share radio towers and pay for 3300 new radios and hardware/software for new system implementation. This will save $380,000 annually
on the operating side in funds now utilized to enable NJDOT to share the NJSP system. Project will be implemented by Pinnacle Wireless Systems
and is now in use by the Turnpike. NJDOT will establish an agreement with the Turnpike to add NJDOT as a user on their contract. Funds will be
transferred to NJTPK based on agreement language
Also, I have noticed that most, if not all of the medevacs have had the radios replaced, all with 4xxxx radio id's.
This system is the 217Mhz Passport LTR system that is used by DOT only, it was discussed a while back in this thread,

The Public Safety Interoperability Communications (PSIC) 700 MHz Network system is separate and funded by DHS, see page 177 of this document:

Page 7 says "all 56 states".
I always thought Atlantic Air 1 operates off the UHF frequency. Thanks for the update.
