4133 which is in the Database as Fairfield PD Ops is being used currently for a Fire Department Drill and there's also testing going on in Newark at the Prudential Building. Testing from different floors and elevators. Talking about the Verizon building having a sub basement to test from. Radio IDs in the 4325x range.

Since we have both central and south maintenance areas nailed down this is most likely what the northern area is:

3073 - North Maintenance - Crew 24 Area
3075 - North Maintenance - Crew 25 Area
3077 - North Maintenance - Crew 26 Area
3079 - North Maintenance - Crew 27 Area
3081 - North Maintenance - Crew 28 Area
3083 - North Maintenance - Crew 270 Area

info has been submitted to the DB.

I found the following document on-line from NJTPA and was curious if this is the same project or are we missing anything?

thanks
Al

09317 Radio Communications System Replacement
Replace current low band and 800 MHz radio systems with new 220 MHz system being used by NJTPK, being partnered with them to include NJDOT.
NJDOT will share radio towers and pay for 3300 new radios and hardware/software for new system implementation. This will save $380,000 annually
on the operating side in funds now utilized to enable NJDOT to share the NJSP system. Project will be implemented by Pinnacle Wireless Systems
and is now in use by the Turnpike. NJDOT will establish an agreement with the Turnpike to add NJDOT as a user on their contract. Funds will be
transferred to NJTPK based on agreement language

This system is the 217Mhz Passport LTR system that is used by DOT only, it was discussed a while back in this thread,
http://forums.radioreference.com/ne...sion-forum/58219-gs-parkway-radio-system.html

The Public Safety Interoperability Communications (PSIC) 700 MHz Network system is separate and funded by DHS, see page 177 of this document:

Sounds like TG 2257 is a NJSP Fleetwide TG.

Also, I have noticed that most, if not all of the medevacs have had the radios replaced, all with 4xxxx radio id's.

I always thought Atlantic Air 1 operates off the UHF frequency. Thanks for the update.

It was a silver alert. I wasn't fast enough to see if it was coming across the SP All call talkgroups on the 800 system as well.

Amber Alert heard on 1695 and 2257, same voice, same traffic
PSIC REMU heard on 4143.

Here's an interesting one,
Dispatch gave an address at Newark Penn Station to respond a unknown problem, with BLS and ALS respond. This was heard on 4145.

From the wiki:

4143: Fire Department (Elizabeth? talked about seeing if a site could be added in Elizabeth) units doing testing in different areas and buildings. References to the Fire House, Dispatch putting out a signal 407 when they wanted to try to have them record a signal report. Calling each other Chief, Deputy, Dispatch, Signal 11 (Working Fire), etc. Having reception issues indoors at many locations. Radio IDs in the 4332x range.

4145: REMCS Supervisors (Testing/Talking about new 700 radios first heard 1/13/12, being used to dispatch the Supervisor units with the new radios). Radio IDs in the 4333X range.

I just heard a Silver Alert go over 1695 and 3333 patched on the 700 system,I'm not sure how many different talkgroups were patched on the 800 system but I picked up 35820 which is Troop A Fleetwide.

Sounds like 4145 is a confirmed REMCS talkgroup,a unit just tested loud and clear from below ground at Metlife Stadium.
