Can anybody who monitor's the GSP and TURPIKE verify if they are able to get signals as of 2023?
All of the primary Parkway and Turnpike talkgroups are very active. They may not be carried on the site you're monitoring. This is how the NJICS system works: no subscriber affiliation at a site = no talkgroup activity.

So would that explain why NJICS is quiet on my WS 1080?

I had it working before they changed sites, now I cant get it to go, it is scanning but dead quiet.
any recommendations?

Well no, you're not monitoring all sites on the system. You may be scanning all of them, but RF only travels so far, and thus by trying to scan every site, you're going to hear less because the scanner is wasting time looking for activity on sites it can't possibly receive.

Program only the sites local to you, and try to limit it to one or two sites that you get the best reception on. If you're not hearing the GSP/TPK on West Orange, see if you can receive another nearby site that may carry those talkgroups more frequently.

But definitely stop scanning every site in the system, because that is very counterproductive.

One nice thing about the WS1080 is that it really doesnt scan all the frequencies unless the RSSI falls below the threshold you set and then it will scan for the next strongest signal and lock on that. So depending on if you are locked onto a single site or a cell, you may hear more or less. The SDS is different since it will scan through the sites looking for anything and never locks onto just one frequency. So depending on what the WS1080 locked onto, it may only get the TG's relative to that area, and as others have mentioned, you will only hear more if someone affiliates to that site. I lock onto the Cranbury site, and its not one that really gets a whole lot of traffic. Bordentown cell definitely has more traffic.

right now I am scanning WEST ORANGE, BORDERTOWN, AND CRANBURY. but its still not coming through...
Could it be its simply not getting a signal?
If someone can take me through the simple steps just to make sure I have done this correctly, like I mentioned I have been using this scanner for over a year and always been getting a signal, so its for sure not the scanner,

1751 is the Atlantic City airport, the troopers have a sub station there. 2199 is the Atlantic City Expressway Patrol and 1749 maintenance trucks On the Expressway.

I understand that is labeled as the airport. But I've never heard any communications relating to the airport on that TG. Always AC XWAY.

No. The reason it works for you is because all that is required is the new active control channel, which at the time was 773.78125. Your 996P2 will find the new traffic channels based on the information broadcast over the control channel. 769.69375 and 773.56875 were both carried over from Site 4, and so your scanner would've continued to work unless the control channel rolled over to 773.34375, which was recently added.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that Site 4 is dead and Site 40 has taken its place at all of the subsites shown in the map I posted. The new lineup for Site 40 is correct as listed in the database. Oh and for those with an SDS series scanner, the site NAC has changed from 394 to 391.
What Site will reach to the coast in Ocean County if Site 4 is dead?

Not for much longer. Changes imminent in Ocean County, keep your eyes and ears open.
Seems like something changed today. Drove down to LBI this morning and had coverage the whole way down. By around noon I was in CC Scan and was wondering if something happened with my antenna because there was almost no activity on the ride home. The reason I logged on tonight was to check this thread, because it's pretty obvious that something changed. Didn't get signal back until I was in Chatsworth and it wasn't decent until back in the Medford area.

So the question is what site is it actually locking onto? Is it holding on the Bordentown or West Orange simulcast or the Cranbury site? The 1080 will sit on whatever it finds 1st that is the strongest and wont move from that site until the RSSI falls below the threshold then it will go into scan again to find the next site with the strongest signal. The 1080 is more of a roaming radio. If its locked into Cranbury, it definitely wont pick up as much as the simulcast cells like Bordentown or West Orange

Any idea on the Frequencies? I don't see anything listed
Bordentown simulcast sites all have the same frequency, so if you just take the Bordentown frequencies and put them in you should also hear the Toms River site

Toms River subsite is switching cells, so it might already be off Bordentown.

Joining Toms River will be a new subsite in the Bass River area. Already online. Happy hunting.
