Surprised to hear that. If it’s a scanner, desense from cellular perhaps? Anyway try Site 7 Simulcast. One of the sites is in downtown Elizabeth.

One of the West Orange simulcast sites is on the Essex County Courthouse not to far from there.

Funny he says that I had to friends living down neck and they both said it is spotty at times, but that was a couple of years ago, I have not really checked back, but one would think WO is the one, but, maybe Union too for most stuff... not all Essex is on Union though.

Always been told the actual radio is better than a scanner - also told that the Unication pagers work better than a scanner as well.

Newark also has 4 simplex fire ground channels on the 700mhz band that they use when TRS won't make the trip. there are some buildings where the TRS doesn't work very well.

Interesting that 018 does not make the peers list for 08. It is a peer to all the other logical ones. I wonder why West Trenton was not absorbed.

My best guess would be capacity? West Trenton covers Division HQ so there’s a ton of users monitoring who knows how many TGs on that site.

Could be/probably am wrong though.

For those Union County listeners. We have a new TG for Kenilworth PD.
TG 5225 PD2. No grants yet. Has not appeared on the ingest platform.
I suspect this is relatively new.

Heard someone mentioning "property check" on TG 6399, Radio ID 109074xx on Union County simulcast. Not sure who the user is.
