A search of NJ forum shows no chatter on Union County TG 4325 on ICS.

I happened to catch TG4325 in use this week. It is in the DB tagged “County Emergency All“. I did not realize it’s use. I will be adding now to all my lists for Site 7.

The TG is dedicated to serve as the revert function of the Emergency Button. When pressed it takes the emergency radio off the original TG, onto this dedicated TG. It was immediately responded to by the County Dispatcher. It is programmed to create an open mic condition (wise). In addition to all these features, I believe that it is full duplex operation when activated.

It was not activated on the Cranford shootout. The LEO remained on Cranford TG.

TGID 5177 Just popped up in Unitrunker. Any ideas?
When making posts like this referencing unknown talkgroups, provide a) what site(s) you're monitoring and b) what subscriber IDs you're seeing associated with the talkgroup. Don't assume that people are going to remember your location if you've posted it previously, especially if you don't have it listed in your profile.

So what's weird is that no ID's posted with the site. Monitoring Site 22.

It looks like the long planned and discussed expansion of Simulcast Site 7 is underway. There is a pending application for an additional site. This is located
on the second ridge in Berkely Heights also called Murray Hill, just off 78. Site 21 may finally get a rest and maybe we will see a couple more towns on NJICS.

Last discussed & locked here.

Recently switched from a BCD436HP to a BCD536HP and this is coming in loud and generally unclear for me. No change to sites or antenna on my end. Thoughts about adjustments I can make to isolate the issue and/or address?

For clarification, what site of the NJICS are you monitoring this from? Also, those MedCentral channels tend to use perhaps?) Harris base stations and can sound overmodulated and even slightly distorted on professional equipment like Unications and Relm Radios.

Much needed and will be a great site when it comes online.

A lot has changed in the time I've been outside New Jersey. Which site is currently doing the heavy lifting for 7B2-03 West on I-80 through Warren County to the Gap Sites? Database's estimations currently show both Hunterdon and Washington's coverage areas being just short.

Thanks folks!

I travel from RT287 to the West on Route 80 to Exit 12 from time to time.

Morris County Simulcast on the East Segment. This Cell absorbed the Netcong site and then further on West, Site 27 Walpack Hill (601) Can't say beyond Exit 12 to the West.

Lastly, much work is off the MDT board, so it is not heard. The SSP TG is not. This TG is very helpful. The MM’s on RT80 are similar to RT78. SSP uses this same TG, beware.

Estimated coverage in the DB only shows Walpack covering as far as Route 94. Guess there needs to be a submission to update coverage areas for sites. Needs to be accurate for GPS based scanning.

I'll adjust Walpack (Hill 1606...no idea what "601" means), but keep in mind that the radii we assign to these sites are somewhat conservative for a reason, so as not to create false expectations of what one can receive. They are always going to be imperfect as RF doesn't care about perfect circles and is subject to terrain and other things affecting propagation.

Anyway, for fun here are the PTT stats on the Troop B talkgroups for January so far in NWNJ. Keep in mind that the Morris cell includes Bowling Green and Netcong subsites, which provide a fair amount of coverage to eastern Sussex County.

I'm surprised NJSP does not have coverage issues in the northern areas of Warren County. My mind thinks it's a lot of hills and valleys to cover with just Montana Mt, Delaware Water Gap, and Hill 1606 being the high profile sites. Seeing the individual site propagation maps would be interesting.

Thank you sir. I added 5mi to Walpack, Hunterdon, and Washington in Sentinel. Should do the trick.

@GTR8000 in looking at the map on the wiki, it's about 4 years old. Are you looking to throw in the new changes or is someone else managing the map these days? It's actually "better" than the one the state provides (for internal and external users).
