Is the County PD active all over the area? I am mostly in northern Westchester (east of 684), I've only once ever seen a County PD car. It would be nice if the local depts and NYSP were on the system.

Yes, They have county jurisdiction so they can respond anywhere in Westchester, but typically don't respond that way, because NYSP is Primary. WCPD Officers are the SROs in Somers and North Salem School Districts, that's typically where I've seen them. But NYSP Primarily patrols towns east of 684 in northern Westchester, with the part-time local depts as well.

Hey does bronxville PD work overnights because the lingo on their TGs sounds very much like County and bronxville units are included in the hourly roll calls

I could be wrong but I think they used to switch over to County PD F1 on the overnights since they had no dispatcher so that would make sense. I know it was one of those small jobs down there like Bronxville or Tuckahoe.. Can't remember

Tuckahoe overnights uses the MRRS system and county units are assigned dispatched by county… I figured it out

So Tuckahoe and Bronxville PD are 2 Separate Agencies?

Anyway when listening to the MRSS System and Bronxville PD Dispatch Overnight. When WCPD Is speaking to a Tuckahoe Unit the WCPD Radio has a very loud beeping when transmitting. What's the deal with that?

Glad u asked… I posted an audio clip in the L3Harris FB group and was told it’s the 2175 guard tone bleeding over into the transmitted audio…. Faulty IDA controller

Tuckahoe PD is dispatched by bronxville… that’s one of them depts which i guarantee will be absorbed into county any day… you can count their officers on a shift using only 1 hand

I have a feeling most of the smaller departments are going to go county eventually. When I worked the court in Westchester I remember the idea being flosted a few times about merging everyone except the city departments into the county. I think the first to go was Cortland, then Mt. Kisco. Good move for any cop who goes over to the county

Question, does Bee Line bus operations still use the old trunked Smartzone system? If not what are they using now?

The old trunk system was decommissioned 10 months ago. They operate on P25… Like it says in the, oh look, Database…

To each is own…But who would want to listen to them anyway?

Listening to Bwe Line can be quite enterrtaining

I don’t listen to them offten but yes a majority is usless talk, but some talk no and again can be quite commical. Especily when they are looking for someone to cover a shift/route or do overtime 😂😂🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyone care to explain the importance or function of: North Simulcast and South Simulcast

I know the frequencies are in the 470.### range but does anything show up on these? just trying to clean up my scanner.

Thank you.
