Hi, I'm a digital newbie so please be gentle. I'm upgrading to digital with the Pro-197 from a RS Pro-2052. I live in Macomb County, Michigan and would love to get most cities within this county. police, fire, ems, etc. I wasn't really that experienced with the 2052 but it was easy enough to program what I wanted (punch in the frequency, hit enter, rinse & repeat). Now I guess I have to learn MPSCS? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. ok, not just a bit - a LOT.
The worker at Radio Shack offered to "clone" some local codes to my scanner, so I said go ahead. That's what I've been listening to for a few days. I have no problem learning the new system and how to key it in, I guess I'm just in need of some tips and advice to get me started on this new journey so I can use my new digital to it's fullest potential.
