I suspect you are seeing the Eagle Rock site. This is the only high profile site. The others are much lower.

When I compare to NJICS W.Orange signal I see some similarities.
Nope
No I don't think so... I spent the weekend driving around Livingston and there was zero signal. If West Orange was active, there would have been some signal into Livingston. Besides, The eagle Rock site is pretty weak along the Union county mountainside ridge.... I think this signal is coming out of Newark.
Yep

We made our first trip to JFK, EWR and the Prudential Center on Saturday. In total, we were in Newark about an hour, so we weren't able to get much. There were no new TGIDs found.

I was able to confirm that the following TGIDs were active 1012, 1013, 1014 & 1015.

I submitted the Prudential Center info for the DB admins to look at. There were a lot of Secret Service people in the area, so we couldn't hang around after doing the drop off at the Prudential Center.

Sorry, I wasn't much of a help.

On a weird note, what's with all of the electric scooters laying all over the sidewalks in Newark? It looks like people just drop them there & leave.

Scooters are rented they drop them wherever, and then a person working for the company goes around and collects and charges and returns the scooter to the pickup station.

I haven't heard that. Most, if not all other agencies in Essex that make the switch or plan to, come to NJICS. Far better coverage outside the City limits. The one that will leave NJICS is Newark Fire and possibly REMCS for UMDNJ units.

Essex Sheriff will go to the County trunked system along with the Prosecutors office. But don't expect to see many other flee NJICS even when that is built out.

It boggles my mind that Essex county bothers to build their own system when NJICS is already there. When they had EDACS only a few county agencies used it. Why don’t they give the frequencies to the state and join NJICS?

It's like how West Orange upgraded their old EDACS system to P25. The system still sounds terrible and only has 3 TGs. They could have easily moved to NJICS.
