This was the mockup drawing of the device before production... labels in wrong location, missing led spot. And several other things you can quickly notice..

Battery door is completely different tooI saw this on ebay, it was listed as a "SDS100 V2" look at the bottom of the rear, under the battery, appears to be external contacts for a drop-in charger.....

It would have been nice if it ended up looking like that. And I thought I remembered UPMan saying there would be a drop in desk top charger released after the fact. But I'm still not seeing any charging contacts on the new battery doors. But heck at this point I would settle for it operating correctly on UHF and VHF at this point. The new battery would have at least allowed me to listen for more than 5.5 hors at a time without having to plug it in or charge it. I have to say that would have been nice.I saw this on ebay, it was listed as a "SDS100 V2" look at the bottom of the rear, under the battery, appears to be external contacts for a drop-in charger.....

That looks like a sketch and not an official picture. None of the new owners have posted a picture of the battery door from the new scanner. I hope it would work like that but we have not scene an official picture.
No information has been posted other than "August".Any clue on when Uniden is going to ship the larger batteries?

it has taken me 9 hours to charge the stock battery, perhaps longer with the bigger battery.
Fast chargers don't use 9 volts, at least not through USB.

Only through USB-C/3.1, which the SDS100 doesn't have. If you send 9 volts to a USB 2 device, it will release the magic smoke.
