Went through this thread. There has been much speculation on dates. Let me add yet another date.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25, Most 4.1 TG’s with exception of a few will be disabled.

SO I AM TOLD! 😂

I’m gonna show my ignorance and ask…. What would a 4.1 TG be? Analog?

4.1 or 4.x refers to the Motorola system release for the old SmartZone systems.

The ASTRO 25 (P25) systems used the 7.x format for years, but after 7.18 switched to the yyyy.x format, where yyyy is the year and x is the version, e.g. 2021.1

So then what TGs would drop then? Or does that remain to be seen

Changes were made around 11:30 this morning. NJSP talkgroups with the exception of 10-Comm have fallen silent on the North cell, and activity is next to nothing now. Here are the talkgroups that have been active since around noon when I reset the hit counter. ⚰

Pretty much the same down here in the south. A1-03 is still active currently and a few others similar to what's listed above.

Downloaded a fresh copy of NJICS. I get the cars calling in tags on C3 S and cars cruising Hainesport on C5 W (everything from Cinnaminson) as usual, but I've never been able to hear them getting dispatched. Is that on a different type of system?
Haven't heard any local traffic on Mot2 P25 since the switch, guess maybe that's down now.

Found out that Berlin Simulcast works a lot better, Cinnaminson was going dead at times. Now if I run the antenna through the apartment up to the back bedroom, I can get Bordentown really well too. Think I'll stay with Berlin through the front Livingroom window.

That's because Cinnaminson is a standalone "fill in" site, whereas the Berlin cell is a wide-area simulcast. You're always going to pick up more activity on the simulcast cells vs the standalone sites.

TG 26000 South Medevac seems to have a few subs left. This remains active on the Smartzone. TG 26832 North Medevac did have activity until very recently. Last several days activity and morning tests exclusively on NJICS. My BC796 has been on 24/7 for many many years. May soon rest.

The last transmissions on the North Medevac TG on the SmartZone system were Wednesday morning, and only a single affiliation last evening since then.

I'm getting a failsoft tone on every channel of the North cell as of 18:54 hrs

Anyone else experiencing the same on the other two cells? Or for that matter is anyone actually still receiving the North cell?

On the North Cell I get dead carrier on 5 channels. No control channel present.

Noticed that a few days ago. Based on signal strength and multi path present I do not believe each North site is actually OTA.

Which had me look at status of Central. We are down to 6 channels. CC 860.7125.
Interesting that it is reporting both North and South as peers.

860.7125 CC
860.2125
859.7125
858.7125
857.7125
856.7125

Bulk of Central activity is as follows. StateComm 2, DOC, Marine, State Fire, DCF, USAR 7.

I'm in NJ visiting family and just checked. To borrow a famous quote... "He's dead Jim."

Medivac’s remain on Central system. Both 26800 and 26382 remain w grants.
A handful of UID’s on South TG and a dozen or more UID’s on North TG.
