With the new simulcast system, all towers broadcast the same frequencies, correct? If not would it be possible to lock out whichever frequencies might be causing the issue? In a perfect world I think this would fix this issue - if it's possible. I have another issue now in Horsham.

Ok.. Please Help. Getting more and more frustrated!!

I received my new Yagi 824-960, 13dBi, Terrawave Yagi Base Antenna as recommended on this forum. Signal is great. I hook up my BCD325P2 and reception is great. But when I hook up my 536HP, no good. Its getting super signal, its pegged. But Im only getting, if any, partial transmissions. I reprogrammed it today again using the correct 700 Mhz system. My P25 Thresh is 8 on Auto ... SMH. Suggestions??

I give up I can't pick up this system on my bcd996p2 at home in Blackwood and can't pick up anything on my bcd436hp at work in Moorestown. Something must be programmed wrong, any ideas or any one able to send me there program file that's working and I could compare them side to side or am I just too far away?

You may try the following but no guarantee. Set the threshold to 7 manual and slowly turn the antenna, little by little and listen/watch for the best decode. I have a yagi also and I could not point it directly at a site as my decode rate was terrible. I am actually pointing about 45deg off of center of the site I am aiming at and finally found a suitable spot for decent decode. The signal is not at 5 bars as it was when pointed directly at the site, but has much better decode at 3-4 bars with my 536. Once you find the best spot to aim the antenna, then put it back at Auto threshold. I now receive the system at 10 % error rate or less, after many hours of moving the antenna, little by little. Hope this helps your situation.

If its not broke, don't fix it.. Just leave it as it is.. Glad it worked out for you. These LSM systems are very tough and time consuming to dial in. Took me near a week of playing with the antenna to get it right.

Solebury and New Hope

Just rejoining the conversation here. Have a Homepatrol 2 (which is awesome) and looking at the sentinal database, I noticed zones 10 and 11 for police are missing. I can't seem to find any info on Solebury township, New Hope, Buckingham in the transition discussions. If I want to monitor the law enforcement frequencies for these municipalities, what frequencies should I look for?

The previous post is correct zone 6. There used to be 11 police zones with 6 & 11 combined. Now there is no zone 11 as such, it is all called zone 6. And Central Fire Band covers Solebury and Doylestown, etc.
If you load the new system from Sentinel everything will be where it belongs. You just have to listen for the 29, 49 & 65 cars and for whatever fire station numbers you want to monitor. The police for zone 6 are on t/g 7.
If you go to the Bucks County web site and scroll down to the April 6, 2015 project status report there is a map of the new fire zone coverage.

Hey,

Are the frequencies that are listed int he 700mhz still active?
Im using unitracker with an sdr-rtl setup and not catching anything.
No waterfalls, no sounds indicating that there is p25.

I thought it was an issuse with unitrunker as once that got started running a site window never popped up.
So okay, maybe wrong freq due to the offset/ppm. nope.

ppm is set correct on all dongles. I have 2. but to make sure this is setup correct ive taken it down to 1 RTL.

-- On a windows 8.1 laptop.

Actually going to install windows 7, as I hate 8/10..

Thanks for the heads up/ insight

I would love to know how you got it to work.. I'm very new with the RTL-SDR stuff.. Thanks.. n3ojb at yahoo.com

Twista,
I tried to msg you, but i guess because i am new that i am not able too.
Here is a screen shot, Hopefully this will help you.
---

*** Got it working.
In SDR# I had to increase the bandwidth to 250000.
I installed a virutal audio cable.
SDR# audio out went to this virtual cable.

UniTrunker got setup as if it was using a audio feed from a discriminator tap from a scanner.

So the Unitrunk Audio in is this Virtual Audio Cable.
Make sure it is not muted.

With the adjustment of the bandwidth i got more signal.

Then it was just fine tuning the frequency , Once i got a solid lock the site window in Uni popped up.
