For those in North Mississippi:

NMHS announces deal with new ambulance service provider

Short Version: North MS Health Services sold their EMS to Pafford. NMHS covers a lot of counties in the northeast. No idea yet how it will affect their talkgroups and communication. But I hope any listeners in the area will keep us updated.

Yes, they have one helicopter (CareFlight) based in Tupelo. The article said it's included in the purchase, but didn't mention if it will be renamed or relocated. But Tupelo is a pretty good location, so I doubt it will be relocated.

Did all of their VHF P25 stuff make the migration? I have not yet checked.

Apparently not all of it as yesterday their ARFF guys were chatting on VHF about a C130 birdstrike.

Has anybody had a problem receiving Jackson Police Precincts 2, 3 or 4? All I have heard for the last two days is Precinct 1. Is there something going on that I may missed?

JPD uses the Metro Jackson simulcast cell, that was converted from the old Motorola SmartZone, and the Hinds County simulcast as primaries, and can affiliate with any of the surrounding sites in the area, including the Rankin County simulcast.

Yeah what indy72, he beat me too it lmaooo. But from the delta area I be surprised I can reach the sites from always from here. Sometimes JPD talksgroups be affiliated on the Morgan City but it get denying

The only simulcast in the metro area is Rankin Co. The only sites remaining from the old Hinds Co system are FOA and Edwards and they are set up as multi-cast sites, not simulcast sites.

Db needs update as it still shows Hinds with 2 simulcast sites, as well as the other stand alone sites. Probably due to old fcc data.
