Cool
On the topic of unknown TGID's. I've logged a few in my travels of course. Should we have a "unknown agency" group entry added to the DB to keep track of these maybe? And then tag the unknown channels as ID:###### or something along those lines? I think something like this would make it easier for people to load them into their scanners and maybe spend some time dedicated to monitoring only those groups to help ID them.
Would it be a good idea to make a sticky post just for MWIN TGID discussion at some point maybe?
Also, on the topic of group names I'd mentioned previously. Maybe I'm doing something wrong all this time but downloading group names that are universally limited to a max of 16 characters when the first word in all of them is "Mississippi" pretty much renders the resulting truncated information totally meaningless. Manually editing down group names to something meaningful is a PITA to say the least. Again though maybe I'm totally missing some hidden option in every memory manager program I've ever used. I kind of think not though. If nothing else prefix them with their abbreviations maybe? Whatever.....I either need to learn something new or this sorely needs to addressed.
Not too fond of the empty groups either. Again with long arse names it's hard to pick out the handful of groups that actually have data in them from among the list of chopped off names in the software's group selector box.
