PCR-2500 vs. PCR-1500, Quality of Receiver?

How do the receivers in the 2500 series compare to the receiver in the 1500 series? Aside from the feature differences between the two, are the receivers themselves similar in sensitivity, dynamic range, selectivity, etc?
