That's what they said about WEP, now with faster computers it can be cracked in record time.

My next door neighbor cracks WEP,,and My WPA2 keys,,very quickly,an with great ease,,

I now change my keys every 4 days,maybe i should do it more,maybe less,,but those dammed
wardrivers out there,,i see em lurking,,scanning for wifi to piggyback on,,

id love to learn in,,but i suck at using C/ or terminal prompts to use software,,was why i never got DSD
up n running..

Again, you don't know the facts if that is what you concluded. It cannot be done now, and never will be.

and there were plenty that HAD that same opinion about Little Boy and Fat Man,,

All UK police went to fully encrypted radios in 2005. I dont think that all crime has ceased in the UK between 2005 and 2010. In fact, they had one of their worst terror attacks ever. Perhaps police agencies will come to realize that encryption is not the answer to all of their problems. Perhaps they will come to understand that encryption causes more problems than its worth. (Google KGB or SS or secrecy). Pure technology might not be the only answer the scannerist's encryption problem.

Note - my Pro 106 sounds like 'Daffy Duck on speed' when encrypted signals are received.

The Daffy Duck is probably just simple voice inversion, that's a lot easier to get around than AES or DES encryption schemes.

Astrak - I think I am familiar with simple voice inversion. I call that the "Daffy Duck" sound. The digital encryption I call the "Daffy Duck on speed" sound. The "Daffy Duck" noise you can almost think that you hear some words. The "Daffy Duck on speed" noise is just total jibberish. I imagine that someone has put a sound clip on the Internet somewhere - but its not coming up on Google for me. Peter Sz
