My radio is not picking up p25 nomore. I've done everything I could. I've formatted and restored everything in the radio back to default. nothing is working. the system I've been scanning for the last 3 years the Oklahoma wireless interoperability network P25 has been working great and just fine. few days ago it's gone silent. I'm not receiving no p25 talkgroups in my scan list no more.

I listen to just Tulsa Police and Fire. My set up has been the same.
OKWIN p25 system. Site: Tulsa | Talkgroup frequencies are the primary and alternate
Control Channels.
Data decode threshold sits at Low: 15 to High: 95
DSP Level Adapt: 64
ADC Gain: +1
DAC Gain: 0

It wont pick up the talk groups I have in the list no more. they are the ones I've been using all along It'll scan If I go to signal stalker. It'll pick up a lot of traffic but when I go on my playlist Its silent. the trunking T still flashes on the top of the display. I live in a big city police and fire depts all over my county are on air and communicating so when nothing is coming through I go to the broadcastify live stream. sure enough things are going on but my radio isn't picking up any of it. just conventional frequencies from the county sheriffs office.

been at this for hours. I've done things differently and inputted the control channels followed by the voice channels this time and still silent. I've been curious about AGC should that be on or off? also should I turn on global attenuation. worse case scenario it's the radio and its not locking onto the control channels or I most likely have done something in the programming. I welcome any ones advice at this point. Thanks.

Try this first assuming it is properly programed with the LATEST data.
Unplug the scanner, pull the batteries, press and hold the power button for at least 30 secs while pressing other buttons. plug the scanner in and power on if it works, reinstall the batteries and your done ,if not repeat a couple more times.

Don't change any settings.

Load to the radio....

Beyond the above --- can you receive this system?

Yes sir. I can that's the Harris P25 System. It's hard monitoring those under it as the talkgroups bounce from one site to another so I removed it. but back on topic. only thing I change is the alpha tags and the location of the talkgroups like for example
List 1: Tulsa police and its talkgroups
List 2: Tulsa county sherriff and its talkgroups
that's the way I've had it though for a while no issues. maybe its the library data. but I know for sure its not picking up no p25 at all. but ill give it one more shot. clear everything and its memory and reprogram the system and the talkgroups that I want to listen to.

In Harris P25 Systems the control channel can be any of the assigned frequencies. They all need to be programmed in - not just what may be designated CC. They can/do change randomly.

Only wanted to see if Broken Arrow could be received and heard so we know it's not really a basic P25 reception issue

yea BAPD and BAFD aren't listed Lol I know there talkgroups though. BAPD are in the middle of transitioning from opensky to p25 encryption. their talkgroup number is 1000. along with BAFDs being 2000 you wont hear anything on fire though. there dispatchers radio id is 100112 or 100111. there the only fire department encrypted in the state unnecessary to say the least.

by the way. thank you bro. you solved my issue. I ended up clearing out all the systems and talkgroups. reprogramming them but only this time I left the control channels alone in the frequency bank. there no longer positioned first. I read so many forums on here that your generally suppose to put the cc channels n that was all. no voice channels would be needed.

As with everything - there is no "one size fits all".

Anytime you don't program all of the frequencies you run the risk of losing signal if/when the system decides to use a frequency that isn't marked as control. Some systems and sites are very stable - others, not so much.
